Any result in this argument...
East watch wants to push Bd people anyhow....what to do dear Indian brothers if ur mother country do not want them...Poor people caught in no mans land...

Fences make good neighbours...............Put fences.........If single doesnt work.....put two layers or three layers.

But question remains............Why innocent Bangladeshis try to cross border????

.
Ok now here is some comparison:

The U.S Mexico border is 3191 Kms while Indo-Bangla border spreads across 4000 kms. However, the U.S is still not able to guard those borders with fences and the cost is just exuberant. So how can u expect India to fence those borders with so much money to be invested, it does need some contribution from Bangladesh. We would be better by building roads in our cities.(even though fences are inevitable) BTW how much do they contribute in fencing expenditure??

This might help.

What BDR should do will be decided ny them. But, no BD citizen will support any such cowardice act by our BDR. They will not support any killings of civilians.

by the way, can the indians send us a link that says muslim BD citizens go to India for a living? Hindus go for some other reasons.

Why ask Indians for link when you yourself cannot provide the same for Hindus going into BD for someother reason. What a Great irony.

No, my point is it is almost impossible to stop people from going to or coming from India. But, under this pretext your drunk BSF is killing not only our citizens, but also yours. So, what is the use of lethal weapons in the border? Is it to kill the innocents only?

Many Indian Hindus come to BD through the border to meet their relatives in BD. We just don't care. Some of them choose to stay and work.

. . . . .
building electrical gizmo-shizmo fences looks to be the best idea...but the Indo-BD border is not like your ordinary border..it has houses built right on it!
the no-man's land virtually doesn't exist at most places...and it's not anybody's fault...manning the broder is a bithch job for both the BSF and the BDR...
so I am of the opinion that this is a splendid idea...and should be implemented...
till the time we get most fenceable area fenced...

Agreed but we have manpower. Its not going to be an easy task 3-5 km on each side of border should be razed, leveled and cleared. Compensation for those who so close, will help correct the problems of illegal border crossings.

whats the point in maintaining the border then??? do u realize what will happen if borders are made irrelevant?? The worst effect will be smuggling which is already a problem for us in the region.Besides illegal drug trade will also increase....Cmon here u say that it is impossible to stop crossing the borders illegally and even against the action of security forces who r there to stop this illegal border crossing. And then u cry foul that some BD youths are getting addicted to cough syrups from India ,which r being illegally brought to BD...Walk on any one way ...If u dont want the evils generated from cross border smuggling ,then u must understand that proper guarding of the borders is necessary......
