slight misunderstanding here, "Turkish Birds" contain American parts which are not licensed to be sold to a country which USA is desperately trying to stitch-up (frame-up for sanctions) and turn into another Iraq etc.

NO ONE sells weapons to a country marked for destruction

Pakistan needs to be weakened in order for India to have a chance against it. so no Vipers no t-129 or whatever else from any NATO country.

IIRC Pakistan basically refused to pay for them from national funds, only from CSF and FMF. It'll be interesting to see if the US offers an alternative, like a loan, to get these to Pakistan. So far the US industry has lost on quite a few deals (follow-on attack helicopters, OPVs, corvettes, etc) due to the lack of an export loan.

Sanctioning F16 gave us JF17 and now new drama of AH -1Z. It is just matter of time when we will have our own gunships. It only makes us more determined to have sanctioned proof our own gun ships. US can keep its priceless AH -1Z, by not having them it will only open other avenues of procurement for us.

US is more Indian then India at the moment and for foreseeable future that will be the case. So any deal with the US will bound to end up in tears and its about time we move on. I rather have drones of our own and arm them to the teeth and get some thing out of them. I do understand there is a hell of difference in performance but still better then nothing as long as drones can fire any thing and Indian arses are kept on fire good enough for me . As soon as the hostilities break out all these equipment spare parts are bound to get sanctioned and then what we do put them in the museum and put a sticker on them saying once upon a time these used to be air worthy.

Accelerated pace does not mean it will always produced result. Given Turkey shrinking economy and funds. Its more of decelerate.Talk is cheap, final result matters.
