Let women decide what is oppressive and what is not. Men are nobodies to regulate our bodies. It is not headach of a woman if a man does not like her all covered up or if a man does not like her wearing skirt or bikini.

Even I wear it. It does not negate the fact that it is symbol of Hindu culture.
well jana ji would you have said the same thing had this happenned say even in pakistan in a chinese institution on there rules regarding dress code in there office :azn:

but on the lighter note its news to me that even pepole in KPK i mean ther women still wear a traditional so called "hindu dress"

Yes, It does Indian constitution

Is she doing anything out of indian constitution
so when it comes to abiding by the rules kashmiries want indian constitution other wise they keep agitating on one thing or the other ... how convinient

.
Does Indian constitution bars any member of particular faith to practise his or her religious or non religious requirements ?
no it does not.. however this is a private school..
one can argue that private schools have no right to impose dress code, one can also argue that its upto you to join a private school that allows your own attire.

why you want to compare yourself with a tyrant country's rules?

 let me tell you another fact which you might not be knowing that here in KpK we have a village in subruban areas of Peshawar city where even today women wear sindoor on the occasion of their marriage. Bindi had been in use since I was a kid. And we had been wearing sarees for many decades .

There is nothing offensive if one states a fact that the attire and these traditions are Hindu traditions.

.
Once again, people loosing their crap over nothing.

1) DPS is a private institution and has a dress code which is to be followed regardless of the religion of an individual.

2) Wearing burqa is a not a basic tenet of Islam and is not to be considered as such.

3) Exceptions are provided if a basic tenet of a religion requires them i.e. Sikhs can grow out their hair but are to be covered at all times. No such thing in this case.

DPS is a reputed institution.. not as good as missionary schools may be but good enough for most people who can spend money.
Every institution has some sort of dress code, like you cant wear jeans and tshirt to school as teacher in many schools. Headscarf is fine as islamic dress but wearing full face veil is completely weird in such school.
May be she should join govt school where nobody care what you wear, nobody care whether you go to school even.
