What's new

Dear PDF Doctors.

Can't imagine what you're going through, tension headaches caused by lack of sleep or stress don't cause vomiting as far as I know. Although you'd help yourself if you keep somewhat normal sleep schedule. Get an MRI to rule out anything, although they can be a bit expensive. If it remains you'd have to take measures to minimize the pain as well as take medication.

Stress can't avoided and don't let that distress you more. It's part of life at normal levels. I'll keep you in my prayers.
Lol if u think migraine does not cause vomiting then u dont know anything about intense migraines. Almost most of the migraine sufferers I know suffer from terrible vomiting , idont know whats the cause people with extreme migraine get vomiting bouts , have someone in my relatives who gets it also sometimes i had to rush a friend in this nonstop vomiting state to emergency ward cause his state would be too bad. One day he got me n other friends so panicked when he started to say do something i m gonna die

Hi, I've been struggling dearly with intense migraine episodes for as long as i can remember, however the frequency of these attacks has declined but the intensity has only increased. They can last up to 3 days, with light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, sensitivity to motion, buzzing headaches and intense vomiting. In other words, they are crippling for my daily life.

It goes without saying that I've consulted the best doctors I could find at home and abroad but it just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Few years back, i could tell if a migraine attack was coming but now it hits without any warning. At this point I'm thinking about getting an MRI etc to assess whether or not there's any neurological issue.

I'd like to know if there's anything i should do, since its very rare in males and is effectively without a cure. If you've the same problem, I'd like to know any tips and tricks. Thanks

Hey bro I'm just following up with you. How are you doing?

Please get yourself to see a Neurologist. Most likely this isn't anything serious. But its better that
you get evaluated properly by a trained Neurologist rather than rely on general practioners or PDF advisees. That is definitely your best bet. Also are you in Pakistan or Australia now? Also, I'm a practicing physician in the US so this advice is legit.

One of my family member suffering same type of migraine attacks but found no cure even after MRI scan....after suffering for years he consult G.P who administered him acidity and stomach medications and since then he is quite fine and healthy.

@Horus

Kindly ask doctor to check your stomach and acidity levels.

.
Yes, in addition to sleep that I suggested, acidity is another factor that's often overlooked while taking expensive migraine medicines.
Sometimes just a glass of lemonade would help, but with salt. No sugar.

Since kid i have been suffering with weak immune system, then i damaged my spine after this high blood pressure constant headaches, fatigue, tiredness, forgetfulness, aches and pains etc and more problems. I have machine given to me to help me breathe at night.

Do you have mercury fillings? I am thinking have one of this removed to see if it improve my health since on the website it is claimed that this was deliberately introduced to give people illness.

Avoid all sugar food even bread has it and milk. avoid white salt it is unnatural, instead have pink Himalaya salt. avoid oily food too. Try more vegetarian food.

I am thinking of trying wet cupping again and going to try this other treatment it is called colon cleanse.

Try Cefaly for migrane prevention, it help reducing migrane episodes. Give it a try, it's an external trigiminal nerve stimulator. Also, consult your neurologist and ask his/her advice before using it.

https://www.cefaly.us/ here is the link for the product. There are probably more companies who are making such device. In principle it is an TENS device, which is Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, which blocks the pain signals by providing electrical impulses. Also, can increase the threshold of the pain over continuous use.

i got infrared therapy lamp and tens/ems stimulate. There is a guy selling some as untested but they work i got a third one really cheap.

Thanks for following up, I'm feeling much better now with muscular pain due to the 12 hour vomiting episode. I have seen a Dr and he said that you can see a neurologist for your own peace of mind but it wouldn't do much. He wanted me to focus on improving my general health.

I would go ahead and see the Neurologist. I spoke to a colleague of mine who is a Neurologist about your case and he also tended to agree. Try that and see how it goes.

Well the friend i told u about who tremendously benefitted from medication given by his doc , had taken his case to a neruorgeon or neurologist whoever who specializes in brain studies , he got his treatment at doctors hospital in lahore. I dont know why ur doctor stopped u.

Bad pillow or not keeping ur pillow in correct position also serves to aggravate the state, atleast in my migraine attacks . I am extrmely bad at adjusting pillow under my neck during my sleep.

May I suggest that you begin with normalizing your sleep cycle. To help normalize your sleep cycle you can take Melatonin (read about it) available in the form of tablets as well as drops. Also you should eliminate caffeine from your life (no tea, coffee, pop etc.) which could be the biggest challenge you may face depending on your lifestyle.

Hi,

You should have had the MRI done awhile ago----they are very inexpensive in pakistan.

That will clear one major aspect of the problem.

Do they happen usually in the same place? If yes you could be like me and be extremely sensitive to low levels of carbon monoxide. You mentioned being in the car...that's a source. Do you cook at home with a Natural gas stove? Have a natural gas water heater, clothes dryer, or furnace? Does where you work have these?
