Pakistan should pursue radar tech with Turkey and Egypt. Turkey is way ahead of Egypt but recently revealed a 250km search radar and has 450 km. Goal should be replacing American systems with capable indigenous systems with TOT.
Why don't we go to China for long range AESA radars with TOT @Philip the Arab

.
There could even be joint projects with Pakistani engineers with Turkey and Egypt whereas China has plentiful engineers and no need to have cooperation with Pakistan.

If Pakistan could get tech and design from Egypt and work on future projects jointly it would be great. Turkey is also much better than Egypt and could offer a lot to Pakistan. Pakistan has a good amount of graduates of universities that could help both of these nations.

The new radar officially debuted at EDEX 2018, where Egypt announced that it will exhibit a range of new weapons and military equipment, including the dual radar, at the EDEX 2018 exhibition, which began on Monday.

The displayed version of the Egyptian radar ESR-32A has many high technical specifications, with a detection range of up to 250 kilometers, and can detect targets flying at an altitude of 12 thousand meters, and is dedicated to detect targets flying at low and medium altitudes and analyzes and evaluates risks The air threats and defining the types of air defense systems needed to deal with them are also suitable for civilian use to control and direct air traffic.

100% locally manufactured radar in cooperation between the Egyptian Armed Forces Research Centers, the National Authority for Military Production, and the Air Defense Missile Command Center, which consists of an air transmission unit, a transmitter, a separate reception unit in a private cabin, and a data display screen operating in L BAND.

Dimensions for Air Survey and Early Warning. The new radar, named ESR-32A, has been under test for a year and a half. It has been working for the Egyptian Air Defense Forces for a year and a half and costs 80% less than its counterparts abroad.

The radar is in service and after its success, the armed forces are seeking to develop three-dimensional radars with phase-shift matrices Phased Array range of 450 kilometers, and will be ready to be announced in the second edition of the exhibition in 2020.

Pakistan could easily cooperate with Egypt on radar tech, which is moving incredible fast from nothing. Started out with 2D 250 km range, and now a 450 km range radar in 4 years.

$$$$$$

Splitting projects between two nations will make it much cheaper. Besides the Egyptian radar was quoted as being 80% cheaper than European, American, and other radars. Egypt is already working on 3D 450 km radar for 2020. It would open up jobs for Pakistani engineers, and workers also if there could be separate projects designated between both nations.

China has more chance to give us a almost full TOT, and Chinese radar tech is on the par with Russia/USA/JAPAN/ISRAEL/EU but Egypt one has old tech @Philip the Arab

. . .
Look at the JF-17 project as well as F-22P and Up coming Type-54A Frigates these all projects are wth TOT @Philip the Arab :p:;):enjoy:
How much tech tot you think you will get? lol, China isn't going to give up treasured secrets even towards close allies. Turkey and Egypt who are both developing tech would be the go-to nations. "TOT" from China translates to assembly, and servicing transfers.

Also, Egypt tech is hardly old or bad. I can't say its any worse than Western systems without knowing its real life performance.

We don't want their top notch radar tech but medium tech, there is a possibility if get HQ-9 or its any version, we will get with TOT at least for its radar some how @Philip the Arab

Turkey? Huh? Do they not have great radars? They could give much more TOT than China, and work on joint projects together.
