@Tshering22
Buddy you've been unusually silent on the beef threads since the news of BJP's about turn on the NE and Kerala hit the waves.
Would like to hear your views.
Just to have my mind clear..What is the rationale that it is not banned in above mentioned states...?I don't know why is that even making news. May be because most people do not know about this article.
According to the Article 48, states namely Kerala, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim are the states where there are no restrictions on cow slaughter.
I am only saying it as it is.
Although most of us here prefer the buffalo and yak meat due to its richer meat and heat properties. (winters in my state can get miserably cold when you compare it to the winters of other states of India, except Ladakh).
To make any amendments to this Article, there has to be a motion passed as is with any other amendment.

So holds majority there i think a mix of Budhist and Hindus ?Kerala population constitute more than 50% hindus i believe..Hindus are not in the majority. As per the BJP for NE. For Kerala they promised to provide "top quality" beef.

Most of which is buffalo meat which is as you know, richer for its nutrition and fat content. I once had a beef porotta (southern style paratha) in Kerala and as it was my first time, I was amused that buffalo is also categorised as beef. Never really bothered to check it before this experience.
Thought most people knew this already. When Mallus say beef...it mostly is Buffalo meat. Although we don't have a problem consuming cow meat either.No clues.
This is how it was designed at that point of time by the then governments.

Too bad then. Its legal in your state and the BJP has promised to make available "best quality beef"
Your choice. Good luck to your children then.Ah well, I am a mallu christian and have no problem with priests raping little christian boys and girls. I think more christians need to send their kids to church to be initiated in this alternate lifestyle.
