Lines were drawn by British for the regions they controlled. Princely states were given options to chose sides or stay independent. Rulers Bahawalpur, Khairpur, Chitral, Swat and KASHMIR made their choices. Some wanted to be part of Pakistan while Raja of Kashmir wanted to join India.

There were choices for all. Muslims (Kashmiri, Bengali, Bihari, Hyderabadi etc.) in India were free to stay in secular state or move to Islamic republic. Muslims and Non Muslims (Hindus, Sikhs, Christians) in Pakistan were free to stay in Islamic Republic or more to Secular State. Princely states had choice to join India or Pak.

Nothing was forced, no rights were denied, every one had option to move to country they like.

I will paste this again for the benefit of our resident RSS revisionists:

The Muslim League supported the British war effort while the largest and most influential political party existing in India at the time, the Indian National Congress, demanded independence before it would help Britain. London refused, and when Congress announced a "Quit India" campaign in August 1942, its leaders were imprisoned by the British for the duration.

So even when it came to fighting Nazis, you were on the wrong side of history. And the "cause" was Pakistan.

Quite evident that muslim league was sucking up to British while INC was looking for independence from them.

I like it how fighting nazis were more important than fighting for yourself.

No point in going around in circles now.. You have failed to provide any statement by (any) UN Sec-Gen to prove your claim.

And as you yourself have pointed out that the UNSC has not passed any resolution declaring Kashmir a bilateral issue even 46 years after signing of the Simla Agreement, we have no reason to believe that the UN will do it now (or in future) ...

The only "fact" is that Kashmir still remains on the agenda of UNSC as an unresolved international dispute and the UN refuses to terminate UNMOGIP despite repeated Indian requests.

However, you of course are entitled to your opinions no matter how ill founded they are.

Regards

Your own words show that the realization of just how high a price Pakistan paid for getting back its PsoW is already there, just too hard to admit:

the Simla Agreement no doubt does give the UN a little bit of "face-saving"

That will come with time, too, undoubtedly. :D

... how high a price Pakistan paid for getting back its PsoW is already there, just too hard to admit:

Pakistan did not get back its prisoners of war under Simla Agreement.. Get your facts straight, our wannabe Indian friend :D

What I said was the price Pakistan paid to get the PsoW back was high. That is all. I am a friend to facts only.

All they managed to do was to get themselves imprisoned. Great help that was. Meanwhile the Muslim league managed to fight Nazis and get an independent Pakistan at the same time. Its called achieving results.

Ahh never new muslim league fighting Nazis were the real reason of Indian independence and subsequent creation of Pakistan. Its so enlightening to hear you !!

By the way why not muslims pelting stone at britishers, or just Kashmiris got the "cause" recently?

It's called achieving results using politics.

Stones are meant for occupiers. I am sure you are safe in Mumbai or wherever you are holed up.

and britishers were your rightful masters...As I said each post of yours is a revelation to me.

The irony of Indian states being occupied 200 years longer than any Pakistani state must be lost on you. You were the one whinging about "Muslims having causes" all over the world. Surely that means you are upset about independence from the British.

Please think in your mind, than rethink, and then post. You are all over the place.

Britishers were occupier and oppressors or not?

If yes, where was the "cause" then and stone pelting brigade? In fact you in your own admissions were sucking up to them and fighting their wars.

I think you need a time out.

Fighting Nazis was not a British war. It was a world war. Muslim league did the right thing in supporting the allies even if they were fighting for independence at the same time. Only a genuine idiot would call this "sucking up to them".

"Stone pelting" doesn't even begin to cover the battles that were fought in those days. Your historical knowledge and understanding of freedom struggles is frankly embarrassing and cringeworthy to even read.

Good thing you deleted your last post. It was as incoherent as it was brainless.

Though I must say I hate being the reason for any confidence and self esteem issues. No need to delete a post and retreat into a hole. Its an anonymous board after all. Consider this your safe space.
