Cops shut down dance party in Lahore after cleric's threat

I know Islamabad I have been there several times and I can tell you you soon are going to see lot of guys like Lal Masjid Mullah stopping crap but I hope before that happens state wakes up and does it on its own
I think I may know it better. I live here and have lived here for the most of my life. Only the zealots are concerned, and as far as I can tell they don't have much support. So it comes to this: the city is, after Karachi (maybe), the most liberal city in Pakistan. And also the most secure one. And here the bootleggers know the right people, and police doesn't really do much against them. So unless the Jamia Hafsa or any other Jamia wants to get their arses handed to them, I'd advise them to back off.
Oh, and did I mention that parties have some security against situations like that?

.
in this global world mixing of culture is bound to happen people have to live with that fact now.
No what we live with is Islam and we would keep stopping Haram crap and I hope state start doing its job of stopping Haram

What ever will happen in Islamabad will happen by Islamabad's and pissed people are dangerous people Muslims don't back of and state will do its job it already is waking up and soon no Mullah but Police will stop all the parties and arrest and thorw every one in Jail

Minding your own business is also in Islam.
It's not when Haram is taking place than it's duty to stop it

. .
you will be called a shaheed just like Bhutto for the rest of your life.
no dont answer that

huqooq chaiye per koi jholi me daal de.
esa bahadur pehli dafa dekha ha
I dont want to be a shaheed

.
Mullah was mad because no one invited him ..next time invite him and you will see him twerking somewhere in between the dancers ..

But people shouldn't take law in their own hands and let people party if they want. It's their problem and private affair. The general public is fed up with Mullah dictatorship. They just want moderation. Those who are liberal let them be so long as they're not anti-state and don't commit in offences. Those who are conservatives let them be too. Keep a balance. This Soti danda attitude isn't on

Agreed...

And that is how a state will stray from the ideals of its founding fathers in the long-term. Pakistan was established to prevent mixing of culture (separating Muslims from Hindu and Sikh) actually. Yes, people of other faith exist in Pakistan and they are free to practice their religion as per constitution but fahashi is a different agenda.

Ahahaha. Good joke, sir! Most entertaining.

.
Just because some people want to party and consume illegal substances doesn't mean that law should be changed for them!!!

It is against the law in almost all countries to consume drugs like MDMA and any party in Pakistan where illegal substances are being consumed should be closed.

. .
So, you stopped a supposedly wrong/less moral event in a wrong way by threatening...??? I have a beard as well and probably I will never go in dance party....BUT...

I think cleric is wrong, here...U can't force people in this age...

our founding father never wanted this radical society that we see today and beside bro time changes what was true then isn't necessarily true now and with the advent of internet not just sikh or hindus but the whole worlds cultures are mixing with each other and it isn't a bad thing it will provide some commonality and harmony among everyone.some time letting few things go is better for you
