I think I may know it better. I live here and have lived here for the most of my life. Only the zealots are concerned, and as far as I can tell they don't have much support. So it comes to this: the city is, after Karachi (maybe), the most liberal city in Pakistan. And also the most secure one. And here the bootleggers know the right people, and police doesn't really do much against them. So unless the Jamia Hafsa or any other Jamia wants to get their arses handed to them, I'd advise them to back off.I know Islamabad I have been there several times and I can tell you you soon are going to see lot of guys like Lal Masjid Mullah stopping crap but I hope before that happens state wakes up and does it on its own
Oh, and did I mention that parties have some security against situations like that?
