No I have no problem with Muslims, but with religious education in schools. Education needs to be free of religion... but since we are talking about the UK it does not really surprise me.

this change was brought by tony blair. Well the logic is, catholics always had their own faith school, so why not muslims?
Also, there is lot of bullying in school by children of majority community, which is why from a parent's point of view, faith schools are safer for their kids.

The ideea is not that this isn't assault or a reprobable act,which it is but the fact that these are just minor incidents with which we are bombarded every day under the islamophobia slogan.Someone probably got harassed because she wore high heels,some kid got bullied because he's fat,etc,etc.We don't need "news articles" for every tiny incovenience brought by some idiots in every day life.Wake us up when an angry British mob burns a mosque down with people inside...now that would be really bad.

The decision itself is stupid... as I said, religion and education are to be separated.

And concerning the second point, further separating from the rest of society and forming parallel societies will only pour more oil into the fire.

They have to integrate themselves into British society. Otherwise tensions will only increase ....

I agree with you. UK police treat citizens ( all shades and religions ) better than Pakistani police, Saudi Police, Indian Police and from what I have seen the US police.

I am pretty confident UK has the best police force in the world asides from Norway/Sweden/Japan/Ireland.

I can certainly say for a fact a Muslim is safer in UK then in Pakistan. A Black African is safer in UK than in USA. Anybody who thinks otherwise ought ask the fast diminshing numbers of Shia Hazara in Pakistan and check the number of 'hood Africans' being used as target practice by US police.

well, they can easily ask catholic and anglican schools to remove religion from curriculum and become secular schools. Ask queen not to be head of anglican church(separate state from church).
These are bigger violation of principle of secularism, not muslim faith schools, which came only recently.
