Is Turkish media reporting anything on when we can expect any deal between Turkey and Pakistan for T-129 helicoptersSo,we are glad that you are not the one who will choose which hellicopter will be bought for PA.

a monster with out fangs and a chain tied to American mood swings and at the mercy of Nang e Qoom like Hussain haqqani. in nineties both the cobras and F-16s virtually saw themselves getting grounded due to American ban on spare parts. get something you can use whenever you want and whoever against you want.. without the risk of any bar or ban when you most need itDear Sir,
Zulu is a monster and may be in future we shall require attack helis not only for Anti armour roles but for areal engagements with hostile attack helis, there you shall require mix of heavy and light helis.
PA if not chooses Zulus then they shall have only visible option of Mi28Ne in heavy class.
Only lapse in Mi28NE is it's low service ceiling.
Many people here talks about the almost only -con of T-129 is its American based engine.
But guys,we can do almost all other things.Yea engine is something but can be replaced with another.Yea it takes time but if you want double guarantee thats all.
I think you can focus on better arguments than engine. Its is a dead end.
Most people here are fan boy teenagers or sour old men with little knowledge or insight. Thankfully, those who are evaluating T-129 are professionals and I am sure they will look at things from mature angle. If machine is upto task and feasible to be purchased, they will take the right decision. Don't lose your heart my friend.
@cabatli_53 PAA pilots have flown it and they love it, one pilot told me that all 3 birds have their pros and cons and one of the biggest requirement is MMW radar mounted on main rotor, if all 3 have it then best quality one will have much better position in winning the deal.
We also make some kind of talks at our military forums on T-129.It is going for years.Maybe we have talk every inch of this chopper.
First of all,it is the ancester of a combat proven hellicopter a-129.It shaped the modern hellicopter look.
Secondly T-129 is a nato standart european technology. You can't compare with chinese technology. It is surely better than z-10 in any way but feasibility matters.Maybe china will just give all tech to PAK,so T-129 will have no chance.
Only i want this sell to be done is that we can invest that money to new products. We will have our medium size transport helly as T-70 black hawk.Heavy is Chinhook. But we are in process of developing new light helly that can be armed too.Pak can buy it too and can have service-maintanence saving. We will most probaby use the same engine.
Pakistan more often than not, chooses its defence equipment wisely and carefully because of precarious financial and political situation we frequently find ourselves in. Chinese, while being reliable and eager seller would not be able to dictate a sale contrary to our defence priority. I highly doubt a decision contrary to national defence requirement will be taken. T-129 is a wonderful machine, I'm sure. Does it beat Chinese and/ or Russian offer (Mi-28) ? I can not say unless someone shares the field trial reports of all. However a decision will be based on many factors like service life costs, maintainability, ease of maintenance, upgradeability, munitions effectiveness and costs. avionics quality, support and upgradation prospects and vendors ability to sustain its support during life cycle of the system.
Given the trust between Turkey and Pakistan and NATO connection of Turkish products, Turkey has a good chance of building a strong defence industry relationship. This is already happening but far less than reaching its true potential. I have visited Turkey many times and have fair idea that Turkish products are of high quality. As a policy Pakistan is looking to diversify its defence partners and Turkey makes the best choice for us. Please do not forget that Pakistan has been a long time user of NATO equipment and our gunship pilots are well familiar with AH-1 Cobra. So naturally they will tend to look favourably at T-129.
All this however, does not mean T-129 is a done deal. As I said many factors are involved in a defence procurement and like you, your competitors will try to do their best to get the deal. A lost contract should only encourage you guys to work harder to make your products impossible to turn down. My best wishes are with you. Long live Türkiye.
I agree with you ATAK is a good heli however Pakistan economy is set to improve and in the future (10-20 years) Pakistan will produce or Co produce helis most probably with China or Turkey as both are allies however for no a few ATAKS and a bit of MI-35 as they can also carry troops most probably special forces supported with ATAK will strike fear into all our enemies especially ANA TTP (independent opinion correct me if I am wrong )IMHO, Pak may ultimately end up having ATAK since she is gearing up for a long haul of proxy wars. Billions of dollars are being spent on these proxies for a reason. Overwhelming show of force in the most ruthless manner is required to deter these proxies, so as Pak economy gets stronger so will be her response. At some point cross border operation will be inevitable if the US forces leave Afganistan to crush the dens of the snakes protected by their masters ANA + RAW. However, US systems may not be the right choice for such ops; hence, a second source for the western weapons is possibly required. Turkey will be increasingly filling up that position. Aselpod is readying JF-17s for ground ops. Anyway, Paks are dead lucky. Based on the performance of ANA after few volleys of WW2 era field guns, seeing ATAKs and hearing their deafening sound may be enough for these folks to just get vanished in thin air, go home and die...
however for now* Also cross border ops have already taken place for example after Aps attack there was bombing inside of afg by Air Force and spec ops were sent to collect bodies (also correct me if I am wrong )I agree with you ATAK is a good heli however Pakistan economy is set to improve and in the future (10-20 years) Pakistan will produce or Co produce helis most probably with China or Turkey as both are allies however for no a few ATAKS and a bit of MI-35 as they can also carry troops most probably special forces supported with ATAK will strike fear into all our enemies especially ANA TTP (independent opinion correct me if I am wrong )
