Hurstwic: Other Viking Artifacts in North America
i just check some links, like this one Hurstwic: Other Viking Artifacts in North America Some of the best evidence comes from 14C dating of mortar taken from the tower in 1993. AMS (accelerator mass spectrometry) analysis of the samples yielded a date of about 1680. The construction materials (mortar and field stone) closely resemble those of other 17th century structures in Rhode Island.

fake data you cheater :tdown::lol:

geez u really do have a low IQ

it says CAME INTO COMMON USE, which means it was very widely used... however, europeans had the compass for between 400 to 500 years before it was commonly used for ship navigation.
tell me the link you big liar between 400 to 500 years before it was commonly used for ship navigation.

what.. do you just skin through things till you find bits and pieces you can twist and turn???

"Evidence from the site of the tower points to a colonial time frame. However, the tower appears on two maps predating the colonial era by over half a century. Giovanni da Verrazano mapped the area in approximately 1524 and listed the tower on his map and in his logs as a "Norman Villa". In addition, Mercator's map, circa 1569, also shows the exact location of the tower. "

which was just above what you posted ya tool.. read the rest.. fact is viking were in the americas.

posted one before you dumba$$ lol.... all you need to do is do a bit of research, and you will see your wrong.. and biased

do you realise what the english says?? i dont speak your baby language so i cannot translate it... but what it is saying... is, that, during colombus time, that is when they decided to make the compass commonly used on pretty much every ship... IT DOES NOT mean that they did not have the compass before then.... trust me, i am a native english speaker and my english is better then yous lol.. i think i know what it means

but then again all you chinese here do, is try to twist things around, gives things meanings they dont have etc.. then you gang up by the thousands just to try to win an argument that everyone, except your egotistical selves knows you lost lol

Columbus - Compass By the time Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic with two caravels and a carrack, navigators were old hands at using the Chinese compass to orient themselves. Early compasses were a lodestone (natural earth magnet) attached to a disc floating in liquid or balanced on a central pin.

The compass later came into common use in the west during the 14th century AD. This led to what is now known as the Age of Exploration where major European powers started further exploration of the World including North and South America. While the compass was just one of the devices that brought about this golden age of exploration it played an important part in bring it to pass. Even now modern navigation still relies on compasses and the more accurate maps they helped to develop.

europeans invented the compass indigenously.. they didnt get the compass from china PROVE EUROPEANS GOT IT FROM CHINA!!... PROVE IT...

you cant, because your brain does not work... you cant even accept the FACTS with PROOF PROVIDED, that shows vikings made it to the americas and had settlements there, BEFORE europeans even had a compass... and BEFORE your little sailormoon even went sailing

i think it shows the viking were vastly superior to the chinese of the day.. china couldnt travel far without a compass... yet the vikings could :D:D

ohh you chinese must hate admitting other countries are far superior to your own, and even in the days you claim to be the most advanced nation in the world... you got beat by none other then.. europeans hahahaha

just before i go i will answer this.. i NEVER SAID europeans had the compass in 500AD - 600AD

i said they had the compass 400 odd years BEFORE COLOMBUS and before it was COMMONLY USED..

your lack intelligence, seriously.. go back to school for 40 years, you might actually understand english then, and be able to debate without stupidity

so in other words, they had the compass in 11th - 12th century...

not 500AD - 600AD

learn to read english... sorry you can read english... learn to COMPREHEND english!!
