no dude.. YOU ARE WRONG

the fact is, archeological evidence PROVED vikings were in americas during the 10th century, they used to travel between americas and norse land but had trouble with the indigenous population so went back home... read up on history.

they found norse artifacts in the americas!! they also found settlements of norse origin in some places...

a scientist also was interested in icelanding gene history etc..found in iceland, one woman who's been dead 1,000 years , they tested the dna and it the dna sequence was that which can only be found in asians/american indians etc... and since asians had no contact with vikings/norse in those days it can only be linked to it being a native american taken back to iceland 500 years before colombus even arrived in americas lol

In my opinion, you can't really claim an invention like a compass and the benefits it has done...................Chinese, mesopotamians, vikings, Indians and polynesians, all invented the compass on their own without foreign knowledge, which benefited lots of people in their own community........................Thus compass is a type of "collective invention" and can't really claimed by anyone nation.........

Chinese Inventions
At present, according to Kreutz, "barring the discovery of new evidence, it seems clear the first Chinese reference to" the compass "antedates any European mention. This is countered by evidence of the temporal proximity of the Chinese navigational compass (1117) to its first appearance in Europe (1190) and the common shape of the early compass as a magnetized needle floating in a bowl of water.[8]

Compassed was invented by Chinese 2000 years ago, no compass, Europeans couldn't arrive and discover North America, no China, no USA

The first person recorded to have used the compass as a navigational aid was Zheng He, a Chinese from China, who made seven ocean voyages between 1405 and 1433. About the 12 - 15th century, through trading, the technology spread to Arabia and then reached Europe.
