Cold Start Doctrine - An Indian dream to invade & divide Pakistan

They are not in the same position anymore, so that applies to the European theater. They had their role in the cold war, so they must still be relevant in a cold war situation when one side can field more man and material on the battle field and try a forceful rolling armour attack on the other side , like it is the case of the "cold war" between India and Pakistan.

India, Pakistan and Tactical Nuclear Weapons: Irrelevance for South Asia

and another one which got posted in this forum few days ago...Pakistani Tactical Nuke is irrelevant to India.

.
I like how Indians have started to deny the said doctorine after they were shown what would be their fate if they commit such suicide...

First moving all there troops to our border in 72 hours is impossible secondly by the time they reach border our Army would be there and above all its based on a stupid assumption that they will do it successfully and we would not use our nukes and west will stop us from doing it they are living in fools paradise

There is no need to use Tactical nukes, our conventional firework is sufficient to Bar B Q the offenders before they put their ghaleez feet on our land...

The article says the aim was to gather all the necessary troops in 48 hours not 72 hours.
The 72 hours figure was for the whole war of splitting Pakistan in two and destroying much of its armed forces. It took them 21 days to gather the necessary forces to apply the war doctrine of cold start, so it was already a hot start failure of a cold start unfeasible doctrine.

@Horus: Think twice, Indian objective of Cold Start is to divide pak,

or just capture border areas within 24 hrs, that can be used in post-war concessions. What will be benefit for India by dividing Pak militarily.

I do understand what they mean, and I still think that in an extreme case, tactical nukes can be used for two purposes, the first of which is for survival defense, if it comes to that. The second purpose is the try to prevent an all-out nuclear war, by limiting the strikes to the battle field against overwhelming ground forces.
Than the responsibility of an all-out nuclear war on each others cities and vital infrastructures will be on the one who starts it.
understand that those are two different war fields, the military battle field (Tactical) and the all out war(Strategic).
India does not seem or want to see it this way and said that a tactical nuclear strike on the battle field will engender a strategic nuclear strike., Meaning it wants to have it both ways. Superiority in conventional warfare, which is dangerous for Pakistan's survival (like in the case of the crazy Cold Start Doctrine, that was dropped or being still worked on secretly!), otherwise it is total nuclear war, which India foolishly thinks it can win too. Pakistan , from its own position seem to have come up with a half way solution and that is the use of tactical nukes (as a last resort) on the battle field if its forces are overwhelmed past its frontiers. I think it is a wiser option (decision ) than going for an all out nuclear exchange, because of a tactical defeat.

48 hours is more impossible than and this kind off move would prove to be death trap for Indian troops

I think I've posted the news where India clarified its stance that India doesn't differentiate Tactical and Strategic nukes, right??a nuclear strike,be it Tactical nuke or not will be considered as "First Strike".in fact, whole world has similar view for Tactical Nukes.

I'm stating again....India doesn't differentiate between Tactical Nuke and Strategic Nuke.the step is taken to stop the usage of Nuke and thus maintaining the war into conventional threshold.be assured,India never going to overrun Islamabad.and thats the whole plan all along.Capturing few vital areas in Punjab and around which going to force Pakistan to think about disengaging the battle and return to the table for discussion where India will use the captured land as bargain cheap.

India's plan all along is never cross the nuclear threshold, and I can assure you,no country toss nukes so easily.only battle of survival needs nuke.but then again,we're talking about Pakistan.there is no shortage of "Suicide Bombers" here.

how???please explain.

. .
to stop advancing forces will thermoberic air burst weapons be effective?

.
I still dont get it... What good will we get after invading pakistan.. Mmmm I think nothing.. This was thr reason why in first place Mr. Nehru agreed upon to the creation of Pakistan, so as to place all seperatist N anti social N anti sceular forces at onr place.. More over there. Is nothing in Pakistan, which is of any intrust but only poor N hungery ppl with stone age rules N authorities... So my dear juat rest ur fear of being attacked by India.. Unless been provoked just likr old times dude....so chill mar.

.
i repeat there will be no invasion of pakistan via cold start.
just utter destruction of your military and industril areas in selected sites

First only few division will be able to reach border making lot easier for us to attack secondly this large movement will make soldiers more vulnerable to attacks even before reaching our border and many more reasona
