CNN Interview with Imran Khan: Assassination Attempt on the ex-Prime Minister by the Establishment and PDM

There is little to discuss here with people like @VCheng. Their loyalty lies with the country they reside in. Good for them. His country is responsible for regime change in Pakistan. This is a well documented fact. The US government is responsible for regime change in Pakistan.

Our loyalty lies with Pakistan. Unfortunately, we have an army that also has a loyalty problem. Their loyalty lies with the USA. This is the real problem that needs to be addressed. Everything else is a waste of time. Our focus should be towards the Pakistani army. This Institute is responsible for 95% of the mess in Pakistan.
He gives that perspective, and points out that to change the status quo you have to convince the supporters of the status quo to let go.

The US Department of State have condemned attack on Khan. This department represents the sentiment of the Deep State and its statements are always on the mark.

The US Department of State have opened the door for Khan to maneuver. Now Khan should be smart enough to cash in "behind-the-scenes."

Politics mein chalta hai.
US state department have people with big brains assessing the situation, weighing the outcome of every decision thats taken or is being considered.
They will never burn their bridges with IK knowing more than 2/3 of the public is with him. US nor IK will ever throw away their relationship out the window.
US goes big for democracy.
They know Biden administration and IK got off on the wrong foot. People in offices change but the general public will always remain.
There’s a reason CNN interviewed him, shows his stance and where he stands about his US conspiracy stuff.
I think just recently he talked to Turkish news channel and clarified there, thats our own problem if their own fall into foreign hands, cant blame others.

What is funny is that people like me who exercise independent and fair judgements are subjected to vicious attacks and ridiculed. As if that will change anything. :D
so I made a tweet and a post here requesting confirmation of some conflicting news, claims, counter claims and resulting unclarity of what actually happened

I was branded a dog on weed ( I didnt know if that's even a thing ) and told to FOAD

for even seeking clarification of PTI narrated chain of events that lead to Imran Khan being taken to Cancer Hospital instead of a trauma centre of any other public or private hospital while Punjab government is under the command of PTI.

I am not surprised. Cult followers are never known for rational thinking. :D

(Dog on Weed. Interesting that they know how that particular situation would feel like. )

To stay on topic, a comparison of the bullets and fragments to the ordnance carried by those guarding the procession would be an interesting one indeed.

As I said, the US is not a monolithic, and the Trump is no longer president. If he had been, he would have still been more receptive to IK’s approach, IMHO. Remember it was trump that said why was the US in Afghanistan, … Pakistan should be dealing with the problem (by which I don’t think he meant fighting but defending the border). A shrewd observation that we would have hoped the careerists in the US would have understood.

But now we are with a democrat president and the bureaucratic career think tankers. They also need a narrative for why IK and Pakistan should be let in “from the cold”. He needs an off ramp as much as they also need an off ramp in Pakistani public opinion, as well as Muslim public opinion surrounding the push for democracy the last 20 years.

A “friendly” Pakistan would be important for them in the Cold War with China, border of Iran, and close enough neighbor to Russia/Central Asia/Afghanistan, and well as a country that can synergie India‘s growth for US investors. If IK can find that balance, of the needs of his people and US interests, it would be vindication for the democracy over autocracy model, as Pakistan is soon to become the largest Muslim majority country, 4th largest by population globally and a democracy. Bajwa said he wants Pakistan to have the same relationship with the US as South Korea, but South Korea is a democracy, one with its flaws but still supported by the U.S.
My only point in saying what I did is to let IK be his authentic self. He is not a policy wonk. He had Moeed Yusuf for that. Let Moeed be Moeed and Khan be Khan.

IK by himself, as he is, has appeal for the average American. It’s not hard when your foes are Shahbaz and Zardari. He doesn’t have to sell a strategic vision to have that appeal.
As far as Pakistani-American voters, I’m about to head to the polls now, and I’m thinking to vote Republican if this is what voting Democrat means. I’m not going to vote for Joe in 2024 unless he can turn the relationship around with Pakistan! I think many Pakistani-Americans are thinking the same way.
Same. Not gonna vote Biden.

Finally, some common sense prevails:

PTI to put evidence against three names taken by Imran in front of SC: Asad Umar

PTI leader Asad Umar has said that the party had evidence of the alleged involvement of the three people named by Imran in the Wazirabad attack. "We will put it in front of the Supreme Court whenever a commission is formed to probe the matter."

This bloody liar IK is the last person that I would believe in his lies and deceptions. He is used to bulldoze and impose his lies only onto brainless Pakistanis through his handpicked monkey journalists in Pakistan. Journalists from other countries give a sh!t to his wranglings and don't get intimidated by this idiot goon. Look at his interview to this lady journalist of the CNN. She slapped this idiot's face repeatedly asking him to offer any evidence for the very serious charges that he is shamelessly and repeatedly leveling against three particular persons. Every time this idiot tried to say his usual non-sense crap, she slapped him back again asking for solid evidence and not just the shit coming out of his filthy mouth. Finally this idiot was clueless how to face the real journalism (as opposed to the Pakistani monkies that this lanati IK normally uses for throwing shit on the Pakistani media). This is the real worth of a rabid dog that keeps barking and spitting non-sense all the time.

That "strategic location" manjan may not work anymore, given the changed world.
Plus Biden's inner circle of advisors now have a substantial number of Indians some with direct fund raising ties to BJP.

That’s a red herring. They have some influence, but not as much as you think. US interests are deeper and strategic.

Some just look at Indians and decide to give up. Point is to not give up.

A US Department of State spokesman told a journalist that US have separate and important relationship with Pakistan.

Pakistani diaspora in USA is rich and well-settled. It has NOT realized its political capacity yet.

That is the rub. We now have 2nd gen Pakistani with educated professional parents and they are not encouraged to go into public arena. Whereas it seems the Indians have made a concerted effort to do that. Was going through the voting booklet for Washington state, and there were multiple indian origin candidates running for county judges to state senators.
There is a big sample in current congressional staffers is of Indian origin. These are the people who push the agenda, help craft bills and even provide insights for their congressional leaders.
Not to give up, but we are 25 years behind. Need to be more politically involved.

Yeah, I was disappointed they didn’t let Moeed formulate the talking points more, with regards to how to achieve what was desired and to avoid the ire of the US.

Basically the feedback loop was not one Moeed had perhaps fully understood or prepared IK for. Just watch the first minute of the following (my apologies for the language):

In IK’s case, there was Chains of slavery(an avoidable gaffe), Absolutely not (could have been deflected diplomatically) and the Russia visit (in which Moeed should have told him to bolt considering Jake sullivan was warning Moeed directly)

Now to end IK’s defacto ostracism by the US, he may need the next year to cool off a bit, and just get the establishment to agree to elections in October 2023, in which time IK works on building up grass roots support for PTI, helps in flood relief, and build is up policy think tanks inside of PTI, lining up financing from the diaspora, and finding a foreign policy that meets the needs outlined in this thread discussion without compromising national interests.

I think since 1951 it's not Pakistani democracy, it's a Pentagon-GHQ relationship. When the best wine collection used to deliver from US for Gen Ayub Khan. For some reason US is more comfortable with dictatorships and especially military ones.
