Sorry my friend law is very clear..Not happened yet, so we must wait for their determination on this (that is why I clearly said "IF the SC is okay"). Leaving such a legal matter to the highest court in the land is entirely appropriate, whichever way they may rule on it.
Section 154 says that whatever is told to police officer he should record it in first information report aka FIR.
154 states
- Information in cognizable cases. Every information relating to the commission of a cognizable offence If given orally to an officer incharge of a police-station, shall be reduced to writing by him or under his direction, and be read over to the informant, and every such information, whether given in writing or reduced to writing as aforesaid shall be signed by the person giving it, and the substance thereof shall be entered in a book to be kept by such officer In such form as the Provincial Government may prescribe in this behalf.Information in cognizable cases.
