CM Punjab posing for picture while supervising water drainage !

. . .
Has nobody seen his boots?

He took them into somebody's house also. :o:

.
Well..it is not stupid to compare esp when the claim by our veteran @Syed.Ali.Haider was that there is provision for drainage in each project...So based on that.....Lahore which has alot of projects thanks to SS ....should also have the most upgraded drainage, right?
Either admit SS in 7 years couldnt make drainage despite all those projects he claimed OR that there is drainage it just wasnt planned enough for an overpopulated city....got any more ideas to put in?

Please keep in mind that Lahore is growing at about 8-10% annually, which leads to a doubling time of under 10 years. Just think about the implications for all infrastructure, not just drainage.

.
@Akheilos As usual blah blah blah blah blah :D

You are as stubborn in your opinions as IK is in his politics :P
Thank you for your fine analysis
Next you guys will bash CM because of some earth quakes.
You think? Well unless you build a bridge with pathetic materials and it falls with a minor earthquake :D

I am sure many people are bashing nawaz because of metro projects but if someone bring topic about public transport and issues people face in there then they will be the first ones to moan why CM has not build any transport system in Lahore. Similarly those who were hating motorway are the ones who are enjoying short distance from KPK to Islamabad..Blind hate see no logic and reasoning :P
You need to understand 1 thing...It is 1 thing hating the project altogether and hating the:

pathetic materials used ---corruption ---results: any form of natural disaster destroys it and again starts the wastage of funds on a project that was already completed...
Lack of research --- corruption ---results: any form of natural disaster destroys it and again starts the wastage of funds on a project that was already completed...
Lack of planning = metro bus stop/ road blocking ambulances ---stupidity?

Now can you spot the differences?

And like I clearly said if it was his 1st yr and a flood first time hit Punjab it would not be criticized to this level but 7 yrs and still counting but still same mistakes?

Had CM sahaab started thinking of what we call "future planning" and included a population growth factor 7 yrs ago....we wouldnt be re building an already built project!

Had CM sahaab invested in research or even proper infrastructure ...we may not have 2000 roads maybe 200 but at least they would have lasted and not having to rebuild 1500 of the 2000 all over again instead of getting new projects in!

Please also keep in mind that Lahore has had such a high growth rate from the 60s, not just for the last 7 years. The roots of the present deficiencies go a long way back.

Oh mian, sirif advice sey kuch nahi hota. Asli zaroorat amal kee hey, amal.

Are you comparing a village with Lahore city :o:

Unclee...you are like either blame baba Adam or blame the population but never the present govt....

I am saying 7 years is good enough to START something which can MINIMIZE these problems.....I never expect SS to GET RID OFF THEM OVERNIGHT....but START THEM...

However it was you who said with every project there is drainage provisions....so basically our drainage system should be excellent coz he opened a lot of projects ....but honestly speaking it isnt...why? Coz our people never gave sewage and drainage a second thought!

There has been quite an appreciable improvement in infrastructure in Lahore at least during time SS has been in charge. Like it or not, that is a fair fact. But I will also agree with you that it has not been enough to reduce the problems overall.

Moving to drainage, if you go back to my posts in this thread, I have clearly identified two main problems, the people themselves and then the local government too.

Sudharne wale hai leikin sudharne ke liye koi nahin, hunarmand log Pk har saal chor kar ja rahen hain aur poora Punjab Lahore nahin, floods in Sialkot and other areas of Punjab udhar bhi toh government ne kuch nahin kia 7 saal se, I think kese ko shuk nahin houna chaheye but this government is incompetent whether you believe it or not.

Yes agreed...there has been more roads..few dams and more roads....however we are still stuck at the basics...with "INFRASTRUCTURE" should come a basic research + applying that research for the next project should be something a good planner does naturally! :D

Yes I know I have read and again chicken and egg story comes in :D

Its easy to manage village than dense over populated city but you did not got the purpose of these pictures. I was saying that natural disaster happen in every country irrespective of how well is their drainage system..type flood in Japan, china, uk, etc and see the results in there.
