Du u even know there is no concept of Conversion in Hinduism. Its not like ur Abrahmic religions. A Muslim cannot be converted into Hindu. He can atmost follow Hindu traditions and style but he will still be a Muslim. Something u see in Sufism in India. They are muslims following Hindu traditions.

That is wrong info. People coming from outside India were converted to Hinduism all along. So are people in Bali in Indonesia Hindus. The Hare Krishna followers of various races are all Hindus.

There is no need for formal conversion. If you believe you are a Hindu, you are a Hindu. It is as simple as that. but then people need validation from others and something to mark their change from their previous belief. So a ritual is and can be organized. It could be the various shuddikaran or ghar wapsi programs as held in India or just some formal conversion ceremony. There are at least a million white Americans who consider themselves Hindus now. They may call themselves Vaishanavas or Shivas or Smartas, etc. etc.

For example, the greatest propagator of Hinduism today are the American whites from the Island of Kauai in Hawai.

many of you may heard about this guy A.R. Rahman. he was born as a hindu and converted to muslim(because of his family problems) now he is one of the greatest singer in the world. no one neverr try to kill him for changing his religion.

this guy Kamal Haasan famous actor in south india. is hindu man with a muslim name. he put hassan as his second name for honor for the man who take care for his family after his father left them(he was a militant) . hassan was his father's friend. he never said he had to face some hindu extremist for what he did to his name.

However this does not indicate that folks are living in harmony in India. The slaughter with impunity of 1984 and 2002 along with the anti-conversion laws ( the one in Gujrat criminalizes conversion) discredits all your claim about harmony.
