Christians launch political party in Tamil Nadu

hindu religious parties are not feeling threatened they are feeling happy because this will make liberal hindus to lean towards saffron politics.christian priests does not realise this they are short sighted. i as a citizen of india does not want my region or any region to form political parties or involve in politics.
@metro i know what you are saying but i am yet to see a perfect political party till then i prefer congress..i know congress not perfect.

@jana yeah u r right.....there are lot of people disappointed with the policies of congress...we have to careful so that we can maintain in and around 10% growth rates at least for next two decades...and in my opinion biggest hurdle towards that goal is religion based politics.....for both the major parties Congress and BJP play it shamelessly.....and may be may be we can reduce tension with ur country too.....

main difference between our politicians and politicians of other countries is that our politicians will take money and then too will not do job and if they do it will be so bad that it wont last long(eg. roads) but politicians in other countries will do job after taking bribe and a very good job indeed...

India already have Hindu and Muslim outfits so i see Christian party is not going to cause any harm rather i see its going to create some balance if worked out in an organised manner

ADR is a great organisation and thanks to u for sharing this report. but u know very Well that before that their use to b a jungle raj of lalu with both police and politicians involved.. there use to b kidnapping and murder without any fear. and no fir was use to b registered against politicians. but the rule of law has again been restored there with all people equal in front of law. thats why increase in percentage but dramatic imporovement at ground zero.

india with 80% hindus only a small fraction of them are supporting saffron politics.the more minorities form religious politics the more it will force a secular thinking hindu to vote for hindu religious parties.but more than that i believe politics and region should be kept separate.if i am(christian) building a house i will give the work to a hindu or muslims who knows the work rather than a christian who does not know the work..building nation is much harder job so why go for the religion of candidate rather than merit and eligibility.

They have some small groups but they failed to get united though they are one of the most powerful vote bank community.

once they get united and got a true leader they are going to make big success but alas they are leaderless as compared to Christian move as i feel the Christians if chased in support from West they are going to get some real political power in coming decades

in the coming decade as the youth take the charge neither muslim, nor christian or hindu r going to b big political power. the only agenda would b development of each and every indivisual regardless of their religion.

There are two different ways to look at it here a person is not a criminal until it is proven by court of law non of the charges against those mp were proven so they just remain chrges untill they are proven just my 2 cents
