What's new

Chinese companies lobby for 2nd nuclear power plant in Bangladesh

you claimed that is what they do... whereas the article talks about it being a plan, or an idea if you will which would have never been okay with the japanese public anyway... or the govt. of japan

and your country isn't even a signatory to the NPT treaty that you're flaunting to my face... so while you expect the rest of the world to abide by a certain standards which you don't follow, and judge other countries while clearly you guys are on the same boat regarding pollution... the words coming from you is hilarious.

one would say you deserve to be applauded... not me
What else can I say? ? ? ???????
Now I know. Many times, you don't have to be responsible for what you say.
You can just say what you think. And firmly believe that it is right.
As long as you think it's right. There is no need to consider facts.
Japan may dump 1 million tonnes of nuclear waste in ocean

FUKUSHIMA'S NUCLEAR WASTE WILL BE DUMPED INTO THE OCEAN, JAPANESE PLANT OWNER SAYS

Tell the Japanese government: don’t dump nuclear waste into the ocean!

and as you said. —— China is not a NPT signatory.

Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons

Finally, you're still trying to find reasons to justify Japan illegal emissions of nuclear waste. emmm... Understandably, after all, you like nuclear waste.

@Michael Corleone you provide a lot of fun. thank you. thank you very much.

. .
I only know about offshore wind power.
China does it. Floating solar plants. Many countries do it. It is easier inland, more difficult at high Sea midst of ocean though.

.
"may"!... and "already did" like you claimed are two different things... the power company can't just dump it without govt. approval

so you're proving yourself wrong
Still making excuses.

You are making international jokes!!!
The government does not know nuclear waste to where?????????
Power companies have the courage to unauthorized discharge of nuclear waste???
do you think nuclear waste like industrial wastewater in Bangladesh???

@Michael Corleone Would you like naughty to what time?

I first knew that China had this project.

How does Vietnam solar industry develop? can you introduce it to me? thank you.

stop speaking gibberish... you don't understand half of what i say and keep repeating the same thing like a rubber duck

lol one post about Japan and the triggered Chinese responses ensue.

Japan did not discharge untreated nuclear waste.
China is not a NPT signatory.
........

So this time is... I'm speaking gibberish?

.
Japan did not discharge untreated nuclear waste
the article you provided doesn't say they've discharged wasted in the sea...
it talks about the intention of the power company to do so for cost savings and people urging the japanese govt to not allow this... and if anyone have been aware of the nuclear safety protocol in japan... they wouldn't have argued for this long

and excuse me for saying china ratified NPT... it was my bad, must have mixed up india's shenanigans

.
and your country isn't even a signatory to the NPT treaty that you're flaunting to my face...

Actually China is one of only 5 recognized nuclear weapons powers by the NPT, which means that our nuclear arsenal is legitimate and accepted by international law.

ah, yes. You just want to prove one thing. The Japanese government has nothing to do with this. This is all the
wrong of the power company... so Japan's nuclear power is not controlled by the government?

omg, this is the "only in Japan" series. :enjoy:

I forgive you. But you really should read more books.:enjoy:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_on_the_Non-Proliferation_of_Nuclear_Weapons

The treaty defines nuclear-weapon states as those that have built and tested a nuclear explosive device before 1 January 1967; these are the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and China. Four other states are known or believed to possess nuclear weapons: India, Pakistan, and North Korea have openly tested and declared that they possess nuclear weapons, while Israel is deliberately ambiguousregarding its nuclear weapons status.

Four UN member states have never accepted the NPT, three of which possess nuclear weapons: India, Israel, and Pakistan. In addition, South Sudan, founded in 2011, has not joined.

eh no, i ust want to prove your "claim" is wrong.... that's all

tbh an international law drafted by the victors and kept the whole international community out of having a say isn't really international

VN solar industry is still at infancy, same for domestic usage. Both just took off recently when nuclear power plants are postponed. The government encourages industry and private households to generate solar energy. The energy can be sold to state energy suppliers. Depending on locations and technology, the government pays between 6.5 cent and 9.5 cent per kWh.

I just checked how much Germany pays. It’s higher, up to 11 cent per kWh.

If an industrial powerhouse as Germany can replace all nuclear plants by solar, wind and other renewable then certainly as a developing country as Vietnam can.

VN has a huge deposit of coal which we dont. Besides solar project cost around 12 cents per unit whereas our nuclear plant cost 4-6 cents per unit as good as coal plant.

He said that they were collecting information from four possible sites — Gangamati in Patuakhali, Mazher Char in Barguna, Boyar Char in Noakhali and Muhurir Char in Feni.
Yes, a site near the seashore should invariably be selected instead of a densely populated site. No one expects an accident, but like car accidents, there always remains a possibility of a nuclear plant accident. Therefore, any sparsely populated area would be safer. Even Rooppur should have been substituted with another site in an island or seashore.

But, Rooppur became aligned with our sentiment and psyche because the site was selected about 60 years back during Pakistan time. This is probably the reason to stick with this site. But, if something happens people will have no place to move out. All near the vicinity will suffer cancer and other ailments caused by radioactivity.
