What's new

Chinese Austalians flock to cheer for team China and make Chinese basketball team feel like playing at home

If 5 japanese shorties shoot as well as MJ , while China has 5 Chou Qi, China will still loses the basketball match.

In modern basketball, shooting is the key to victory. In fact, there is so much complain about 3 pointer which killed most of the interest for NBA.. Viewers find boring keep seeing 3 pointer which is not as exciting as layup and dunking.

.
Lol... The US didn't even make it to final and u claim Europeans are not dominating USA?

No doubt MJ has the IQ but it is his jump shot that plague many of his opponents. There is no way to guard. He just leap from behind, aim in the air and shoot. The defender can only jump and raise his hand. Hope MJ missed. This is his killer move.
US didn't make what final?

Team USA won 2020, 2016, 2012, 2008, 2000, 1996, 1992, 1984 and 1976 Olympics.
Team USA won 2014, 2010, 1994, 1986 FIBA World cup...

And lol, MJ is hard to guard again is not because he is a very good jump shooter, he is hard to guard because he read the game well and he will see which ball he should pass, and which ball he will shoot or dunk, and it keep the defender guessing,

It's exactly like Luka Doncic, he is hard to guard not because he can made jump shot, it's because he can read the game and read his opponent. his FG is less than .500 and his 3pt is less than ,330, it's decent but not the best in the field, not even close.

Dude, how much exactly do you know about Basketball??

MJ actually shoot quite average of the 12 1992 dream team member. With .472 FTG and .273 3PT average Another MJ (Magic Johnson) shoot better than Michael Jordan with .489 FTG and .476 3PT.

Charles Barkley .541 FTG .266 3PT
Chris Mullen .509 FTG .384 3PT
John Stockston .515 FTG .384 3PT
Karl Malone .516 FTG .274 3PT
Clyde Dressler .472 FTG . 318 3PT
Scott Pippen .473 FTG . 326 3PT
Larry Bird .476 FTG .376 3PT
Patrick Ewing .504 FTG .152 3PT
David Robinson .518 FTG .205 3PT
Christian Laettner.480 FTG .261 3PT

Stop divert the point when last FIBA men final didn't even have USA. And please stop talking to me about past glory. The last 4-5 years USA men's didn't do well in most basketball international tournament.

Again, just because it wasn't making it in last FIBA world cup in 2019 and Europe somehow "Dominate" Team USA? LOL

You do know US is the most frequent winner of FIBA world cup, with 5 win in history, the only other team has 5 win is Yugoslavia, which does not exist anymore.

And the most recent international competition is 2021 Tokyo Olympic, tell me which team has won that? And then tell me who won 2016 Olympic and 2014 World Cup?

Last 4 big game US only loses 1, and somehow Europe is "Dominating" US. LOL. How does winning 3 out of 4 tournaments being dominated. Dude, you have some problem...

USA even nearly losses to Turkey a small fry in European basketball in last FIBA tournament. As for Olympic , European team usually don't care so much for this spot and they just uses under 23 years old player.

.
Congratulations!

SEA is also great in women volley ball, do you know Thailand team has defeated European champion, Turkey, several days ago in Volley ball World Cup ?

Competitive volley ball women team in SEA is Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Philippine.

For men, it is Indonesia that is the strongest in SEA

How Indonesia destroy Malaysian team in last SEA Games 2022

dude, US still won that game.......93 : 92

It's like saying China almost loses to Australia without Jenny O'hea, Liz Cambage, Bec Allen. A win is a win, it doesn't matter you win by 1 point or 2 points.

And Olympic Basketball is not Soccer, there are no rules you can only use younger than 23 years old player. And Europe do use their best player in the Olympic, I mean, have you actually watch it?

Did I say US lose to Turkey? And u feel US proud by winning a point against Turkey, the whipping boy in European basketball?

Spain would have thrash such team easily.

you do know the word "Still" i used. Again, a win is a win, it doesn't matter if you win by 1 point or win by 20 points.

Well, Team USA trashed Spain 95 to 81 in the Olympic with Ricky Rubio, Paul and Marc Gasol, Rudy Hernandez, Sergio Llull, all of which were the starter of 19 World Cup.

All of which above 23 by the way.....

And France defeated the US on 1st game during Olympic Preliminary too, what's your point?

My point being, while the rest of the world is catching up to US basketball, it's by no mean they were "Dominated' by European Player like @Beast said.

On top of that, most of those misadventure was done by US team themselves, the best player don't want to play for the country, player getting drunk, the schedule make it so the NBA final is the same day as Olympic Opening ceremony (Game day is 1 day later), they don't train with each other at all, and they all have their own play. I mean, but if you ask anyone who dominate Basketball in General, I don't think a lot of people are going to say Europe.

Your women basketball team is quite strong in SEA level, particularly when you have 2 twins played in NCAA Division 1 in USA. If I am not mistaken the twin played in Duke university, strong US NCAA team for both men and women.

No such thing in basketball. A big win means a lot and a slim win shows u got problem.

That is why USA didn't win the last men FIBA. LOL...
