Why are indians jealous of China's independent foreign policy? indians should be proud of being Anglo's buttboy.
Why should we be jealous? Your definition of independent foreign policy is wrong. If buying oil from Iran is the definition of independent foreign policy then it would be just as ridiculous as calling China a slave of Iran.

India is carving in under the pressure of the US and China is increasing its purchase, gave the middle finger to the US and helps Iran who is standing with its back against the wall financially. If China does not buy Iran crude it still can buy from plenty others, there is no pressure on China, but if India does not obey US command, it will get hurt badly by US sanctions. The US has no leverage against China.
Even after India bowed to US pressure, America is still using their credit ratings agencies to crush the Indian economy.
The Rupee hit ANOTHER all-time low today, on the back of several downgrades from S&P and now Fitch.

India is the second largest importer of Iranian oil in the whole world. India's largest trading partner is UAE. India's trade volume with Arabs and US is many fold more than Iran.
So India is doing things in its own interest.
Don't worry.
Looks like a sado-maso or master-slave relationship.

Why are some members comparing China to India? Except for their billion plus populations, they have hardly anything in common. They are not in the same 'league' in military, political, economic, scientific, industrial aspects. In terms of international influence, again, they are not in the same league.
Modern day, so called "Republic of India" has not fought any Western or even European power, let alone defeat or maul them. China, even before its first nukes were tested, threw its weight around when Americans and its cover for legalizing its international crimes, so called United Nations, had sent in armed troops in Korea. The result was that Americans and their 'allies' retreated from North Korea. Reportedly, the Americans threatened to nuke China/Chinese army to save face because they were losing badly. They used the same tactics to save face when so called "Israeli" pocket west of the Suez canal was about to be liquidated in 1973, when Jewish Kissinger warned Sadat that Americans would 'strike' Egypt if the so called "Israeli" pocket were to be liquidated by Egypt.
They use enormous waves of media propaganda to turn the masses' attention away from these facts, though.
In any case, modern day India was fully colonized by a single Western power (Britain), its current boundaries, legal structure, educational structure, and many other aspects were derived solely from that source. China was never fully colonized by a single Western power because even 7 (seven) foreign powers together could not colonize China in the same way that they colonized India, but those foreign powers carved out areas of influence in the Eastern parts, I reckon.
Modern day India also never fought a Western power, let alone defeat a Western power in history (we are talking about the 'core' that forms so called "Republic of India" here, so Muslim victories against British in the subcontinent do not count).
