Sheikh Mujib did not even know that Bangladesh had been liberated when he was released from prison in Pakistan and went to London, he was shocked and surprised to hear that Bangladesh was liberated. Sheikh Mujib had only asked for "self governance". This essentially means you have very little knowledge of the events of the war because your media propaganda had brainwashed you into thinking India is some mighty power that fought the West and defeated Pakistan in 14 days, when the reality is that in no war with Pakistan could India extract an 'Instrument of Surrender' alone, and the Americans were kept on a tight leash in the Bay of Bengal by the arrival of the Soviet fleet.
