The Bangladeshi fighters would have fought till eternity with their rifles. In fact without India's help they wouldn't be able to do even that.
Yes they fought bravely for 9 months but that would not have given them any freedom.
No separatist movement (Balochistan, Kashmir,Sri Lanka) ever succeeded with Gorilla warfare.
It was a conventional military defeat of Pakistan that liberated Bangladesh. We destroyed their air force, navy in East Pakistan and most in West.

1. This topic is about China's oil imports from Iran in defiance of Western threats and embargo/sanctions.
2. India did not fight any Western country in 1971.
3. You only cited three examples, in all of those cases, the majority of the concerned county's population were against the independence of that state. In 1971, the majority of Pakistan, that is East Pakistan, supported independence.
4. West Pakistan was separated by 1000 miles of enemy territory (i.e. India) from East Pakistan. In none of those cases that you mentioned was this the case.
5. Carrying out operations 1000 miles away from home ground for more than 9 months to suppress an independence movement for a poor country like West Pakistan of 1971 is far too damaging to their economy to be continued for ever (like you said).
6. Why could not India extract an "Instrument of Surrender" from Pakistan in any of the wars that it fought either before or after 1971? Because India alone is not capable of defeating Pakistan.
7. Only 6 years prior to that in 1965, your performance was dismal so how could you suddenly claim to have won the war on your own in 14 days by rapidly destroying Pakistani conventional military?
8. India's only intention was to break its enemy Pakistan into two to weaken it, and West Pakistani intransigence and political miscalculations only allowed sneaky Indians that opportunity.
9. Finally, again, India did not fight any Western power in 1971.
