Who said anything about a blockade specifically, In an all out war though, or a severe deterioration of relations, access to those straits can indeed be severed through, indonesia and Singapore who are both american allies against china. Look at your silly reply. Rather than a blockade at strait of Malacca. What way is there to stop PLAN from transiting an international strait? PLAN ships don't even need to dock at Singapore for replenishment and still can make it to Mediterranean. There is a reason for giant replenisent ship tag along and all the whilr that is what PLAN been doing when transit from their bases on Hainan to Indian ocean. As I say current war is all about proxy war. US is not going to direct engage China. They will play the games of mouse. You expect Singapore to challenge PLAN? LOL...

you need to read carefully, I literally wrote "Who said anything about a blockade specifically", I wrote that in the event of a war, they can be closed. and again, lets not distract from where this conversation was originally coming from, the comical assertion that China was capable of carrying out operations(and supposedly blockading a NATO member, lol) in the Mediterranean sea(you keep running from it, b/c you are well aware of the comedy behind such a suggestion).

and yes obviously the admiral kuznetsov can transit around the Mediterranean, we arent at war with the russians, it still doesnt negate the importance of denying warm water ports to the russians and maintaining NATO control over the turkish straits.. You are just selective avoiding the point. No one will block PLAN route for a small skirmish if PLAN intend to blockade turkey. NATO will not even shed a tear them , not to mention attack China for them. Blockade will means war, China mention very clearly. Any attack on the nation ship will also be a declaration of war.
