China's Malacca dilemma: How India controls Indian Ocean chokepoints

We are not a big power .
Like our PM said , India wasnt burden to anyone when we were poor and nor a threat to anyone when we acquires economic, technological or military capability.

But we arent afraid to anything nor we compromise on our national integrity or security .
Chinese are more powerful than us and we are not going to count anyone for our safety .

Regarding Nepal,Bhutan ,SL or Bangladesh .
We wont interfere anywhere unless they question our security .
Noone asked SL to allow Chinese nuke sub nwsr to our space facilities .

So it cut bothways .
For friends we are great friends , we wont interfere anywhere .
But for enemies , we will be worst one.
For that we wont count the loss
Modi bullShit all the time. India is a threat to every neighbors. Only brainwashed Indians believe Modi bull$hit.
Go check India history of intervene of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Maldives.
Go check India history of war with neighbors, including Pakistan and China.
India has a dream to control all neighbors, and invade Tibet.
Pakistan and China will always be there, it won't come true.
India is everything but a peaceful nation.
India can CAUSE serious disruption the chinease trade at Malacca

India has a REAL BLUE WATER FLEET and is a serious Threat
Third class destroyers and frigates.
Supa Powa 2020 just boasted a lot like Modi, but your destroyers subsystems are either Russian or Western countries.
None of your major weapons are made in India, none!
Supa Powa want to enslave the world, but lack of capability.
Fix your open defecation first.

.
we??? hehe it's the QUAD lel.

why should we fear Chinese ICBM???, due to design defect and having a round nose will probably bounce back to china once making impact.🤣

I just hope they don't land back in Hainan.

After two round of snooker, I come to see just your damn nonsense. You have no ICBM, you talk the bullsht. A moocher has nothing sounds owning everything.

Yes. And you're a nobody.

Please PM me once China has mobilized their fleet towards Indonesia. Till then ciao.

. .
You just can't expect the issue will stay local to Malacca as an attempt to blockade any nation's shipping route is de facto declaration of war.
A few missiles dropped in Chennai will cause an exodus of BPO business, it wouldn't matter whether the targets were hit or not. Then there is the insurgency in Indian NE, water flow from China, and possibly heavy damage to Indian Naval defense.

India has absolutely nothing to gain by engaging in this kind of belligerence. The combined West will just grab some pop corn to watch the fireworks !

It wont be that easy.
As of now we are already changing our nuke policy
We also have missile various types and also nuclear weapons.
India will destroy but surely will take you out of the game also.
You want to play then we will bat also .

There is a reason why Chinese are not belligerent against us

Also though I agree we have nothing in the class of Type 55 most of the members here forget our Sukhoi 30 BRAHMOS fleet.... last month when the flanker took off from Punjab and destroyed the target 4000 kms away with air launched BRAHMOS many failed to read the actual message delivered to someone in east that what India is capable of doing in malacca, SCS or Indian Ocean if full blown war is forced on her.... we actually don't need to risk our above warships against Type 55s or 52s..... we can just make their life miserable in our backyard with SOWs on Sukhois.....

China does not have carrier groups to fight a naval war in around the indoan ocean and win.

In contrast from or indioan peninsilur e can massive SU30MKI fleet combined with our entire Navy to cause serous damage to any foe in indian ocean.

We hve good conytrol and thtreat to malacca & the arabian sea with both MKI fleet and our blue water navy

.
India will have a hard time controlling Malacca, they have to deal with PN first.. my two cents..

Think why Sukhoi BRAHMOS fleet is stationed at Thanjavaram in south.....

India has naval capabilities near the Indian Ocean chokepoints especially around the Malacca Strait which connects the Indian Ocean to the Western Pacific, these waters hold a lot of importance for China since it is a crucial route for energy and trade.

India had threatened a naval blockade of Pakistan previously during the 1971 war. New Delhi has never issued any such threat against Beijing. The Indian navy was reportedly placed on high alert following the Galwan Valley clash.

However, there was no official word on whether the Indian Navy was considering a blockade on Chinese shipping or whether it was considering interdicting Chinese tankers near the Andaman and Nicobar islands, or perhaps looking at diverting shipping traffic to and from China.

In June, reports hinted at chances of the United States moving its carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt into the Malacca Straits area in a show of support for India. In the same month, the Global Times was singing praises about China responding by carrying out Naval drills in the South China Sea.

China knows that it is on the backfoot in the Indian Ocean. Beijing knows that Malacca dilemma. India is in a position where it can monitor the traffic at the Malacca Straits or the Lombok and Sunda straits. It can put pressure on the movement of merchant ships while traffic in the high seas that is waters beyond 12 nautical miles from the coast cannot be impeded. This rule will not apply in the event of a war.

China's disadvantage in high seas becomes all the more grave in the South China Sea where China is fighting six countries. Eighty per cent of China's oil imports come through the Malacca Strait. It is also the route for a considerable amount of Chinese trade.

India has been strengthening its maritime cooperation with the Quad countries. In September for the first time, an American P-8 Poseidon long-range maritime patrol aircraft refuelled at an Indian base in the Andaman and Nicobar islands.

In October, New Delhi and Washington signed an agreement to expand military satellite information sharing. India is also planning to strengthen its maritime infrastructure. A deepwater port is being built on the great Nicobar island for $1.3 billion.

It is not for nothing that India is working towards building these naval capacities.

LOL.. Stupid article wrote by Idiots. China dont have 80 percent oil come from Strait of Malacca. China bought large number of oil from Russia and Central Asia. Plus Gwadar port and Myanmar pipeline further erode the need of Strait of Malacca. Less than 50% oil comes from Strait of Malacca only. They need to find more knowledgeable people to write more credible article.

They could block you in the red sea.

Why not you claim it can block Russia and central Asia oil pipeline to China?

We have do our homework and oil supply is in fact very diversify.

IN the most can do more near Strait of Malacca. But anything far from there, there is nothing much India can do. Pakistan will open their airspace and allow PLAAF to strike anything at India ocean if a war with India started.
