China's Dam on Brahmaputra

Don't worry the river in the northeast mostly affect by the damn, immediate water impact on the north east gradually affect the down stream in Banghadesh. Severe drought on the northeast will force the population declare independent from India and China will transfer the water into the region after the independent, win win for all.

Going by the trend, I am 100% sure that Bangladesh will buy your story. :)

No northeast will mostly affect by the dam, Bangladesh need not object the dam because India will loudly object the dam construction.

Don't worry, Bangladesh won't object to anything China does to her.

Most Bangladeshis here openly support the dam since it might hurt India also. :)

LMAO, the world knows that it's a run of dam, we didn't divert the water yet as India did with their section of brahmaputra, most the time it was India side who cry when China manage it water resource and not BD, You know that India is helpless and hopeless against China over the water issue so said that India is not affected by China Dam in order to conseal your pain and divert the attention toward BD-China...Only Idiot and Naive people will belive your words that China dam affect BD, that fact is that India hurt the most BD interest with water, when BD people realize what India did to them, they will be glad to see China give India it own medecine...And if you want to be helpfull to BD, as your gorvernment no to divert the Brahmaputra to other region and save it for Bangladesh...my Angel Indian:angel:

First things first, the thread was started by a Bangladeshi. Secondly, the concern with the Brahmaputra is not lack of water. The concern is flash floods. It rains a lot in that part of the world so if China dams the river and suddenly finds the water level rising due to excessive snow melt in the Himalayas one summer, does China have a plan for that other than opening the floodgates? If it does, great. Share the information with the countries downstream and they'll feel better about your dam.

Something new and positive from a Bangladeshi on this issue, otherwise almost all of your compatriots were deeply in love with China and were convinced that "China won't hurt BD ever, hence, BD doesn't need to do anything on this issue and let India handle it". :)

Rrright!! Now you guys are back on track, leave China alone with its mega dams and start campaign against India, serves some twisted Jamati purpose.

We hope China shuts down the Brahmaputra totally so that India's diabolical project of diverting the water of this river to the dry Central India fails. We will happily bear the consequences on us if India is taught a lesson. Thing swill get straightened out once Indian occupation of NE ends.

1. Who knows how long the Earth will exist! :)

2. History will blame you for the disappearing rivers, India is vocal against these dams, but BD seems to be hesitating.

India is vocal by creating more dams itself and diverting water :disagree:
We arent concerned of China as we dont have mistrust issue with them.
What if we say to India, dont pour your drainage water and flood in BD.
Your entire NE will have no answer. Then we will ask for monetary assistance to safely escort your water :coffee:

Not that Bangladesh not object to the dam but northeast proximity to the Tibet dam, the people in that region will directly affect by the dam construction and Bangladesh indirectly affect by the river flow down stream. Part of northeast territory still in dispute, the dam will severely impact the region and will cause major economy problem in the region which the changing of the ecosystem within the region.

India build dam inside India territory which affect Bangladesh river, why not India stop build their dam and stop Bangladesh river dried up?

Trusting China to protect your interests would be fatal error, my friend. The Ganga-Meghna-Brahmaputra river system is the 3rd largest system by volume of discharge. You're not gonna run out of water. But you need to consider what will happen if there is a lot of melting snow one year the water level starts to rise in their reservoir. Do you think they're gonna let it inundate their lands or do you think they're gonna open the flood gates and let it drown us? Or are you from the same school of thought as @asad71 where you're willing to let your country get destroyed just to spite India?

Those dams that we are building are run of the river dams, and as one of us from Assam has stated, we don't use Brahmaputra much, so our policy is "Water comes, water goes". :)

Cut out the Ganga portion. As we dont get any water from there anymore. India only run out of options to divert water from Brahmaputra and Barak. If that was possible they could do that also.

You don't like us? Fair enough. Don't deal with us. But how does China building a colossal dam further your interests? I've told you what our primary concern is. If Bangladesh has a different take on the matter and feels like their dam isn't going to change anything, then that's ok too.

First you India fear that China will divert the water and than afraid that we will flood India at the same time , then no problem we will divert the water when it rise to excessive level...we don't have the problem of doing that.:smitten:

No offense but I'd like to hear that from someone in charge of the design and operation of the dam rather than some random dude on a Internet forum.

Lol Indian talk about trust :disagree:, there must be a rational explaination why BD hate India more than hate us. you think you can spoil China-BD relation over the water issue??? they all know what India did to them as per my attached video. Our message to India is so simple, we're allowed to do to India what you guys do to Bangladesh.
