The Chinese will learn the hard way. Increased anti Muslim actions will lead to increased anti Chinese radicalisation, and the CIA will deploy it's islamist assets to attack Chinese overseas interests and stop OBOR in it's tracks, particularly in Muslim countries.
Take Pakistan for example, CPEC will not stop because of the Chinese hatred of Islam, we need their money and we want access to their markets, but it's full potential will never be realised. If this anti islamic trend continues it will not be safe for Chinese to be living in Pakistan. They might be making money remotely, but they'll never be able to have the full footprint that could have been. Obviously the CIA's proxy war in Pakistan will kill mostly Pakistani's as they attack Chinese interests, and long term might be beaten back, but it'll only take a handful of terrorist attacks to scare Chinese businesses from moving here full term.
The CIA will repeat this across the full stretch of OBOR, they'll make sure the Chinese century never comes around. This is what happens when you isolate yourself from the world and alternative opinions. You don't learn.
Unfortunately we the partners in OBOR will suffer more than the Chinese themselves, for the stupidity and insecurity of the CCP.
