India is a regional power not a global power, Though it is aspiring to be one.. India's political influence does not work beyond it's immediate neighborhood.. And is often seen as a subordinate for global powers like the US currently using India as a leverage against a assertive China and the Soviet Union in the past that used India as a counter measure to the Western interests during the cold war

Global powers do not work on the agenda of others, They have their own and their influence transcends worldwide

I only post one liners because, what ever I post I conclude after reading the recent developments and articles. Elaborating takes time which I do not have right now.

India is walking in a path which will eventually lead to Global power.

You simply do not have any idea about India's non alignment movement, UN missions, The part India played in Vietnam crisis etc..etc...

India acted against the US when it was firmly entrenched in USSR sphere during the cold war, Now the tables have turned and India is currying (No pun intended ) favor from the US in the face of a rapidly growing China and as a real global power unlike India, China is exceedingly intervening in to the Indian periphery of influence, Which is making India very jittery

China intervening in India's periphery is a temporary thing. Once their economy restructures they will sit back and do their own work.

India has the potential to continue in the growth path for at least 4 to 5 decades.

Good riddance Obama. Given Trump pro-stances towards Russia, he is more likely heading towards the favor of Pakistan. It is just he needs to squeeze India market as much as he can to remain useful in the political matter.

Pakistan is important regional player. That cannot be easy for Indians to digest the fact but Americans knew it all along, and about time they should be supportive given the unconditional support they enjoyed from Pakistan on war on terror.
