What's new

China speaks better English than India, says study

Americans pretend to be Canadians in Middle Eastern countries, Indians living in the US pretend to be Western & forget their Indian roots, sleep around with other people shamelessly, adopt Western names etc. It is not uncommon for Indians from Indian call centers in India named "George" or "Michael" haha, & speak in a pathetic accent to pass off as some Westerner!

so when you guys are pretending to be indians in US, do you also copy the indian accent???
btw we have to sleep around with other people. unlike some, we can't wait for 70 virgins

Why do Indians sitting in Indian call centers in India speak with a fake English accent, & refer themselves as 'Michael' or 'George' trying to pass off as Westerners?

Most of the Indians I know, besides the ones that reside in Punjab/Haryana; & big cities such as Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bombay, speak very poor/hardly any Hindi. So no, most people in India are not even proud of their Hindi, & are poor at speaking it.

So you are saying we don't speak any language properly. Its all genius Pakistanis who speak it all, ain't it?

You speak your mother tongues well of course, but not your national/official language.

BTW, Cantonese speakers, who made up the bulk of oversea Chinese population prior to the 1970's, do tend to have a harder time with the consonant "R".

True, even many Northern Chinese have the problem with the pronunciation of "N", instead it goes as "en".

That is right, there is no "R" sound in Cantonese.

There is no "V" sound either.

This is not a source for pride though. We should promote CHINESE, with more information per square centimeter, over English. It is indisputable fact that in in the information age, Chinese characters have the highest concentration of information per screen area of any language while being equally easy to type. Documents written in Chinese can easily be half the length of English ones with the same content.
