China plans 1000-km tunnel to take Brahmaputra water to Xinjiang: Report | world-news

This didn't even make news in Pakistan.

Lol

Well it’s not about Pak Army, Islam, cricket, goats or CPEC. Nothing else exists in Pak psyche.

Why would a goat worry about a bilateral issue between India and China?

We are busy watching Nawaz Sharif ko kion nikala - the madness continues.

So it teaches Pakistan doesn't seem to obsess over India that much. Meanwhile India reports on our tomato shortages.

Itna pyar dete hain ap hame. Kashmir bhi deden ab.

You just set the boring machine in motion and it drives itself. Certainly ventilation will be an issue after it is done for air circulation but I would assume they will also dig some vertical vents.

I wonder why the Chinese project is meant as a tunnel instead of buried pipelines as in the Libyan project called 'Great Man made river project' :

Diameter will be huge to move enough water. I believe the first "Die Hard" movie had guys driving large trucks through the cavernous NY tunnels so you can see the scale.

I don't remember that film well, but I can imagine the scale from your description and from this link ( if it is what you are talking about ) :

The libyan project used 4-diameter tunnel :

And the below vid is from a 2011 sabotage to one such pipe during the war. Look at the water pressure and the amount :

The Chinese project is ambitious but is it practical??
