China overwhelmed in Taiwan war scenario: simulation

Of course it's not a match! But we're talking about other countries here helping them, like Japan,USA and maybe South Korea as well. Alone, what can they do? They can only slow the PLA until help arrives. If it arrives.

Let's see what you guys can do. A lot of talk and wishful thinking for the time being.

Escorting on the high seas is not the same as clearing mines on the battlefield。 Did the US send armed convoys to escort the ships to port before entering the war?
No, they just turn back mid-way

(And yes, I am being sarcastic)

LOL, I mean a total of 21 people added in 10 years.
From 2011 to 2020, a total of 129 people served and 108 retired. 42 people retired after 2016.
So, how do you go about finding 400 retired pilots?
Am I talking to myself in the previous post?

You call back the pilot that was retired. If there are 129 in and 108 out, that mean you have 241 pilot right there that can be added to the force. Plus whatever serving the Air Force. Just because you retired does not mean you suddenly don't know how to fly.

400 is not really a number without reach, I would imagine active reserve already could fill that, you don't even need to go and stop loss the retired.

LOL, are you saying that old people who have been away for more than 10 years have also become your objects? Well, even with a total of 108, you claim 400? ?
LOL, 400D dreams come true

Dude, you really need mw to spell it out for you??

US did this before enter into war with the Japanese

Now you tell me what they will do in WW2 before they enter the war.

Wow, why is the Flying Tigers called the Volunteers instead of the US Air Force?
Can't the Japanese fire all the Flying Tigers?

No, I didn't say that, don't twist my words.

I said you can recruit 400 extra pilot into the force, that can be from anywhere, the example I gave an example of you can recruit those who retired from service. Was it the only way? No, there are other way, you can increase the Pilot Cadet intakes, you cna recruit from within the branch, and you can recruit from reserve force, depends on pilot to plane ratio, it seldom 1 to 1, usually 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 so you can rotate the pilot.

On the other hand, not everyone retired when they reach 65, I don't know the rules in Taiwan, but in the US, you can retire from the service after 20 years, which means I joined up when I was 23 (actually 19 but that's ROTC) I can be retired when I am 43. And not all pilot are "retired" some were just separated, which mean you sign up for a job and no longer want to do them after several years.

So I don't know why you think you need to argue where 400 extra pilot come from, or do you really think Taiwan, as an island of 24 million people, can't find 400 pilot to fly F-16? If they do, then they have a bigger problem then the Chinese.

Dude, you are missing the point,

You ask will American demine in a warzone that they are neutral, the name of the unit is pointless, you are talking about what the American will or will not do, not whether or not what kind of name they will go into a warzone.

US navy ship, or whatever name they wanted to be called, will be a US flagged ship and shooting at a neutral country ship is an act of war, be it a deminer or freighter, regardless what name they use in that action, as long as they weren't called ROC Navy.

Dude, there were no ownership on aircraft, just because it was a US aircraft it does not mean they are US Army Air Force Aircraft.

Ship has a different rule, it's called flag flying nation rule called Flag of Convenience. The ship can be made by Japan, South Korea or even Nambia, but as long as they fly a US flag, it is a US Flagged ship. It belong to the US. There are international law regarding that, there weren't one for Aircraft back in 1940

Again, this is a different question you asked before, you ask WOULD American demine in a warzone if they were neutral. The answer is quite clear, they would, they volunteer to fight in China against the Japanese, they Volunteer to escort Convoy to the UK, they volunteer to fly with the RAF, now you tell me would they volunteer to demine Taiwan??

You mean USS Panay??

Just because it was resolved diplomatically back in 1937, it did not mean if a repeated incident occurred it would also be so, in fact, i would argue that incident probably lead to the volunteerism in the US. by the way, Japan admitted to their fault and paid an indemity of 2 million dollars for life and boat lost.

by the way, back then US Navy does not really exist when the entire US Navy only have 5 Carrier and only 3 of them was in the Pacific, back then US does not have a mean to fight the Japanese 10 Carrier force. It would be suicide to try to go into war for USS Panay. Today is going to be different. You can try sink a US warship (USS Panay is a US Warship by the way) and see if this will drag the entire US navy into war.

I am not going to stop you from thinking no tho.....

Lol, people's dreams always come true, even though historically it didn't happen that way.

Again, sink a US Warship like the Panay now and you WILL find out.

No need to dream, no need to imagine, just go and do it, and you WILL find out whether or not today US Navy is the same as the one back in 1937

Not even the dumbest of the dumb here would suggest sinking a US warship can go without consequence.....Dude, you really are a special breed.
