What's new

China now likely to call America’s bluff over Taiwan, chances for US to win very low, US allies not make much difference

Iff China attacks Taiwan, mark my words US and UK would not engage China militarily. This has been a constant foreign policy of US not to engage in civil wars for they learned their lesson in Vietnam. US will go for sanctions against China, would supply intelligence and weapons to Taiwan but don't expect US to engage China militarily over Taiwan.
And don't be surprised if Taiwan and China come to an agreement without a war by next decade.

Notice how its always U.S. and puppetregime propaganda mouthpieces drumming up the the "immediate threat" of China liberating Taiwan, followed by coordinated articles like this of China being "underterred" by U.S. regime ramblings, not Chinese media and Chinese officials, yet paid American shills always ramble about Chinas "failure" to "follow up" on rambling by Americans when nothing happens, because China sticks to its own plans. 😂

UK will soon have a nuclear submarine deployed in the South China Sea permanently

RAN will have 12

3-4 are always on patrol by USN and another 5 are coming to Guam

we have in total around 20 x Hunter Killers in and around the region

add to that huge SSK fleet from JMSDF + South Korea

we are looking at over 40 x submarines from allied nations

this submarine force alone is enough without taking into account any other assets like warships

its a deterrence and that deterrence worked against USSR and China since 1949
When the master walks away, a dog will run with tail between its legs, but the dog will still believe it is a deterrence instead of its master.

You think if US declares supporting China taking over Taiwan, and even sends ships to help China to do it , China will do it right now? No, China doesn't want to fight a war right now, and destroying Taiwan is the last thing China wants to do, Taiwan's economy and mainland China's are so closely intertwined, China doesn't want to interrupt this supply line either, don't forget, Taiwan was the single biggest investment sources helping mainland China's economic take off in the 1980s and 1990s, the relationship across the strait is very complicated, do you know why Taiwan and mainland China never have problems and argue over south China sea even with the fact that Taiwan occupies the biggest island there?

No, the U.S. won't support China taking over Taiwan even if they told them to. The question is what will the U.S. do when China does it. That's the most important question is China's military policy on Taiwan. As long as you point the missiles as Taiwan or threaten to hang the so called traitor leaders, the relationship will always be complicated.
