We have been saying this for a long time now, China is holding all the ACE cards. Agricultural products alone can be very damaging to US farmers, heck some could easily go bankrupt. Which country or countries is/are gonna replace the China market? We are talking about 1.4 billion people market here. No country or countries are gonna import those soybeans. For other food products that's gonna hurt as well. So far this is only the warning shot fired by China. If US does not treat the situation carefully China will start looking at the tech card. Boeing can be replaced by Airbus, making US cars more expensive etc. We are sharpening our blades right as we speak and ready to chop US down into pieces.

Trump's 60B is open to half-a-year-long consultation, meaning not a single $ has been implemented yet, perhaps never will be.

On the other hand, China's 3B was implemented this morning, every $ of them, targeting at US's earlier equivalent tariffs on steel & aluminium, not on that 60B pie in the sky.

If Trump tries to go on ahead of part of this 60B in the near future which I seriously doubt, China will then start to get more serious with killer apps such as tariffs on soybeans, Intel, Apple, Boeing, Amazon, GM, Hollywood, Starbucks, McD, KFC... heck, there're so many low-hanging juicy fruits to pick from...
