China imposes tariffs on 128 US imports, in response to White House actions

Lol, typical Hindu shooting his mouth. Most Chinese want harsher tariffs against US. CHINA is not a dog to US like supapowa wowa "hindian"
You cowherds are such a disgrace to humankind

Dude you're talking to a hindian. The subhuman railgun mouth of the south . All logical responses are futile!
 correct, still i thought i wanted to give that moron some hint. He seems to get things mixed up by placing Chinese manufacturers with US farmers on the same page

Yes, when things are good, the leader always takes credit, but when things go bad, what does the leader do then?

If they were trembling, would you even know? Of course, Chinese exporters are trembling. US is a huge market for them. They are thinking of repercussions of a Chinese-US trade was as much as their American counterparts. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean they are not concerned.

Obviously their are concerns if there weren't we wouldn't see a reaction from China to begin with.

I will agree to the point that there should of been a response from the superpower to China's growing power and influence. But i was expecting it to be more refined. I.e i was expecting a scalpel not a sledgehammer. Not very american.

It will be interesting to see how this goes. Tho..

At least we have the dumbass you call President off our Canadian backs. Lol That man wants to fight his own allies and hand them over to China.

If he was God Almighty he wouldn't be stuck here but really on cloud seeing the bad storm heading towards USA

What a dumb response, first figure out what China export to US. NEXT will those exporters go bankrupt like the US farmers?

Your post was just stupid. Yes, US farmers might suffer, and some might even go bankrupt if they trade mostly with China, doesn't mean Chinese suffer as well. If you can't understand that concept then that's your problem.

Trump may be an idiot and has the subtlety to offer except a sledgehammer. Better to settle issue bilaterally or even through WTO, but this is who he is. Nevertheless, a trade war with China has popular support in Congress as well, with both Democrats and Republicans agreeing to take a tougher line.

That you resort to insults proves you have no argument to give. :chilli:

I never said Chinese manufacturers won't suffer, but your reply said Chinese exporters is trembling like US farmers but i don't see it myself. You have memory problem? And here's where you stupidity really reveals. 57% of soybeans goes to China, if US farmers lose that market those farmers are going down. That should be enough reason to having sleepless nights, you moron. Haven't you watch the two videos i posted, those farmers said it literally the trade war is coming at a very very bad time, it's gonna hit them so hard many are already worried getting bankrupt.
Yes i don't see Huawei, DJI, Oppo, Lenovo trembling so does it mean these companies are trembling like those farmers? You stupid Azz, if you can't understand this simple logic nobody can help you poor soul. Again this is why India can never match China's economy, your people are just LOW IQ.

Ofcourse leaders take the brunt. In China case, they are on constant rise and now with leader who got firm control and power , on opposite side however, you got a clown who is bickering with his own institutions and chopping changing his own man right left and center. I know where I put my money.

"...but I don't see it myself."

Funniest thing you said so far. Are you going around to each manufacturer in China and taking a survey? These companies may not be trembling now, but I'm sure they are wondering what's coming over the horizon.

I would bet on Xi, but only for the moment. As for Trump, he won't be POTUS forever. Fingers crossed.

After Traveling all around the globe this is something i came to realize. No country or countries could ever take down the USA. Economically or forcefully they are just that much powerful and strong. I always thought that if the U.S was ever to go downd it would be a threat from within.

Most of the American people i've dealt with were the most kind, generous, and honest human beings I've dealt with in my entire life.

Trump might just be that threat tho..
He's got problems with Canada and mexico his best Allies. I wonder how many votes he would get if we had Chinese and Russian military base's here in Canada and Mexico.

That man is insane not only is he attacking typical enemies of the west, but he's going after his best Allies?? North America, Europe. The countries that made America strong and powerful.

He's just a typical rich person. Countries who give his country money are Allies countries who don't are enemies. Regardless of past contributions and sacrifices.

This is just an appetizer. An extremely restrained move. This is only as a response to steel/aluminum tariffs.

Fore the proposed $60 billion, there is a more biting list being prepared.

More to come.

Now, enjoy the appetizer.

Just ask yourself who has the advantage in a trade war: the country with a trade deficit or a trade surplus? No one will win a trade war, of course. The question who will it hurt more? China or USA? We shall see.

The article says China is threatening, but you say it has already implemented it? What's the source of your information, or are you just speculating?
China’s tariff sanctions on U.S. products have been officially put into effect at 0:00 on April 2, 2018.

No one saying US is weak but China is stronger.
20 years ago China is 20 US is 100.
Today China is 80 and US is 100
20 Years later,China is 130 and US is 100.
The more powerful China becomes, the weaker the United States.

Yup, it is not China's or Russia's goal to take down USA. Why would we wanna do that? All what we want is doing business, fair trade. But since US can only compete by having a war economy, we are forced to do whatever it takes to keep US down from causing more destruction. You can tell what's going on in the Middle East and US warmongers would love to stir things up in the Korean peninsula or Ukraine. So the answer is NO, enough is enough. Time to hit back hard :D US influence is dwindling alright, the most powerful duo Sino-Russo strategic alliance is gonna strangle the US.

Let them absorb the appetizer.

More to come. Hopefully, even more after that.

China tariffs offer US a dose of its own medicine

China's State Council officially released on Monday morning a list of 128 US goods that will now have higher tariffs, a countermeasure to the recent unilateral Trump administration hikes slapped on Chinese steel and aluminum. Neither side has confirmed whether the latest tariff measures signal the start of a trade war.

On March 22, the Trump administration announced more tariffs on Chinese imports were on the way, the result of the US Trade Representative's Section 301 investigation of China. According to the unilateral initiative, up to $60 billion in consumer goods imported from China will be hit with new tariffs while information on which products will be targeted remains unclear.

Analysts believe China will probably take more countermeasures soon after the US publishes a specific list of its tariffs on Chinese goods, if not earlier.

China's latest countermeasures target fruit, pork and other US goods totaling some $3 billion, the equivalent of China's losses caused by US tariffs. The list indicates China will never compromise and will always retaliate against unreasonable tariffs.

For every single move against Chinese interests, the US can expect retaliation. It is time for Washington to bid farewell to the delusional, make-believe world whereby it imagines China an unresponsive, over-tolerant nation.

China does not want a trade war, but it will not retreat should one emerge. Monday's announcement is hardly a subtle hint. China will show its strength through action.

Recent White House statements have revealed a tough stance on Sino-US trade disparities while some have even shown a level of optimism at resolving trade conflicts through negotiation. But it is not hard to realize that such self-contradictory behavior reveals that the US knows its actions are unjustifiable. China's attitude toward a trade conflict has been consistent and Beijing will carefully handle all challenges from the US.

There are always a few Western politicians who think China might step back and concede. But they are wrong. The Chinese government only cares about what is in the best interest of its people rather than elections.

Washington must be reasonable dealing with China. Threats will fail as China is not afraid of the US, plus the Chinese have zero tolerance for political weakness.

If the US could learn how to propose reasonable changes that China could manage, then Washington would see them included in future adjustment plans without the pressure of a looming trade war.

American politicians better realize sooner rather than later that China will never submit if the US launches a trade war. If there is anyone in Washington who thinks that political extortion and the threat of war are effective tools that can be used to intimidate the Chinese, then the recent development on the Korea Peninsula and China's military actions in the South China Sea will surely reinform them.

China has always emphasized the importance of Sino-US relations. But lately we have witnessed a few American hard-liners crying out for harsher policy on China. It is worth observing the various challenges such posturing will provide for China-US bilateral ties.

China is not expecting added damage to US relations, but China does have the confidence and courage to handle whatever comes.
