China does damage control re Africans

Looks like the Chinese govt. finally stepped in and did damage control. However, pretty sure this whole incident has done significant PR damage in Africa's public opinion of China.

It's small not as big as in the US or France and from what I read compared to the 2000s the rate of Africans heading to China has drowned out mostly

Africans have taken huge advantage of china,there are no 500K Africans in any cities of India.

Exactly, thats what we have been doing in Hongkong, trying every possible way to deny entrance for those Africans, they may have excuses for doing small trading bussiness in mainland China but they won't be getting away with those same excuses in HK. Not trying to be rude, they're usually drug dealers thats are active in the central "Soho district" (中環蘇豪區) a real threat to our law and order to my hometown

People are very ignorant about the diversity of Africans. There are many different cultures in Africa. Yes, some sub-communities have had a lot of criminal activity, but many others are mainly composed of just traders and business people.

China is shifting a lot of its manufacturing to Ethiopia. That's the next major manufacturing hub.

Imo there are two factors,
first,china have never expected Africans to flock at that rate and the Chinese administration wasn't unto the task of proper immigration containment planning.
Secondly,China is too affordable,the deflation of yuan to give an edge in export turned out to be a double edged sword. In china, Africans can enjoy amenities and technology that are only available in 1st world nation at a 2 world price. The rest of east Asia not just has a more stringent migration policy but simply unaffordable for most of these so-called African "traders" that are in China.

The Africans are baby pumping machine and when you factor in Chinese health management system,300K African will turn 1m in a decade and it can spiral out of control.
Immigration from Africa will be a huge concern for East in the future when the population of African countries increases as projected.

More than 1 million Chinese are working in Africa. So Africans also have a similar right to move to China on a similar number. Sixty million strong Chinese diaspora swarmed every nook and corner of the world. I find it very hypocritical that Chinese and some other East Asians flood to the other part of the world in millions, yet they are very strict and disapproving when it comes to opening their door for some of the foreigners to live, work and get citizenship. Africa is a whole continent!
Many of those Chinese are in designated jobs to build Africa.Africa is better with them than without .

Chinese and other east Asians mainly flooded the 1st world not third world nations and they contribute to the economy, follow law and order and very competent than even indigenous natives.
Other countries are almost as if lucky to have the hard-working ,law-abiding East asians with high IQ,an east asian diaspora can greatly improve economy in any country.
But the foreign migrants in East brings crime, disorder and burdens economy ,a far cry from the east Asian migrants.That's the significant difference.

I do not know whether such policy exist or not. But Chinese are moving in a large number to other countries for over a century to earn a living and settle. As a South east Asian you obviously know, how vast the Chinese diaspora in your region. On the other hand, China have very little foreigners among them despite being the largest or 2nd largest economy in the world. I have read that, it is less than a million for all the countries in the world combined. Should not Chinese, now a days be a little more accepting other people coming and living in China given their own experience?

Have you ever heard presumption of innocence before? This defense has no place in modern law. You can't see people as potential criminals. If an individual is guilty, guilty. If Innocent, is innocent.

Personally, I have had many concerns about China's control madness over its citizens for a long time. But what's really scary to me, now see that Chinese new generations are internalizing it. You are expressing your xenophobia even while defending your situation...

This is the views of backyardness and someone who dosen't know facts regarding immigration. You are talking about expats and traders who number 3500. The Africans don't stick around often they are in some places for a reason and than gone mostly. I would say Indians are worse guests than them who will stay for 10 generations. There is approx 100mio Indians living outside of India currently around 10-20mio in Africa on top of that and they are known economical terrorists and worst leaches.

I have travelled through Africa and I can tell you this they enjoy better lives in Africa than in China. There is no fire-wall and they enjoy good company. There is technology access everywhere in Africa. They are solely there for Business don't get it wrong. Access to twitter, facebook, Instagram in China you don't have that.

Africa is also one of the most self-sufficient areas in the world if all the economy crashes they will survive in that continent. They don't need anybody but the world needs Africa
