China confirms takeover of Gwadar port: Report

It's fine if they work there but the local populace has a right to benifit, the city will remain Pakistan's

Chinese think they can fool anybody. The aircraft carrier which they bought from Russia
You mean Ukraine?

was supposed to be a floating hotel according to chinese.

A floating casino?

First they took Gwadar which clearly points to their Indian ocean strategy which is going to be executed in future.

Worry about your own country first and don't hype up the importance of India. We are more concerned with making money and securing our energy routes. I believe our partnership with Pakistan, on their port will do just that.

China should now come forward more overtly to construct the Magnama- Moishkhali Deep Sea Port with a Naval Base, etc near Cox's Bazar. That should complete the pincer to squeeze India to behave with neighbors and treat minorities with respect. This location in Southern BD would also allow PLAN to dominate the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and the Moluccas. India's Fortress Andaman would then stand isolated.

Pakistan has sold Gwadar to China. Its no more pakistani....:azn:

Yes - Just like Bharat has sold it's port to PSA

PSA International operates 20 port projects in 11 countries including Singapore, Belgium, Brunei, China, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, South Korea and Thailand. PSA Singapore Terminals is also the world's busiest transshipment hub, handling about one-fifth of the world's total container transshipment throughput, and 6% of global container throughput. The company says it provides shippers with a choice of 200 shipping lines and connections to 600 ports in 123 countries.

There is difference between building/operating and owing.

One day they will give Islamabad, karachi to China to run it. At last it will be called Pakistani Republic of China. :cheesy:

Are you too much retard idiot.

..........
China sees Gwadar as the gateway for its products to international markets. The port can play a major role in serving as a corridor for energy, cargo and services among Central Asian countries, the Gulf and other surrounding regions. As the port operator, Beijing may restart a $12 billion oil refinery and oil city project that was shelved in 2009. ..........

............ If there's a direct road/rail/pipeline link from western China to the port it'll shorten the distance of more than 6,000km for merchandizes to and fro from western Chinese provinces to the ocean near the port area instead of going through the Malacca Strait. And from there just a short distance away from Middle East, Africa and Europe. If you're talking about a two way shipments that's a lot money and time saved or if one route is blocked China has an alternative in times of wars.

China is in a process of further develop her western area and if you look at the map you'll see how import the Gwadar Port means to her, more so than the ports in Myanmar.

You make it sound like the Karakoram Highway is built only for the Chinese government which is not true at all. The concept of the highway is to benefit bilateral trade between the two countries for a long time to come. Any extension below the mountainous part is just another highway for Pakistan which will used and funded by Pakistani as intrastate usages.
Any usage by Chinese merchants and government will pay transit fee, ditto a railroad if is built
. ..............

But if you argue China builds this network for one purpose only, then I agree with you that it's not economic viable. But if you look at the distance it'll save for both countries' merchants in terms of centuries then any cost would be worth it.

Pleas re-read the crumbling of your arguments above.

Gwadar's value as a "gateway" for any sizable commercial activity is limited without the necessary connections, which, as I have explained above, are nowhere in existence to the levels needed, and with no realistic prospects for them either for the foreseeable future.

America now belongs to the history books.

History 101: USA........how not to become like one.

:coffee:

This news must have rocked the US & Indians. RAW & CIA must now be looking for new ways to harm this friendship & they will try to target Chinese so that they leave. It happened in the past & I am sure it will happen again.

I am happy that Gawadar port is finally about to get fully functional & this port is going to be a huge source of income for Pakistan. No more loans.

Did they have any plan to built Railway line from Gwadar to china??? which'll help both country to supply goods in faster n safer way???

So basically the entire port of Gwadar has been given 100% to the Chinese government?

Buddy, before that there has to be an assured security situation that would encourage the government of China to invest.

Besides, how do you expect China to build railways through an assumed disputed territory that is in contention between 2 other countries?

When they can make connection by ROad so what's bad in railway connection which is far better way of transportation! and i think railway transportation is much safer than by road???i think Pak/china should think about this project n start workin on it!

This port will have direct impact on Shanghai group, where Russia will take benefit of this port. This trade route will bring peace in the region. When country like China interest involve in such a manner, then other meddling player will think before further moves with their anti state tactics.
But now China will keep eye on ocean traffic on straight of Hormuz and Africa. That is biggest strategic success of China, Which wait for 32 years. But the most interesting factor of this whole scenario, that previous contractor of this port were also Singapore based Chinese group.
