China bans immoral songs online

Trivia news, those songs were never mainstream and few people listened to them. I guess Mr. Ramjet has too much free time on hand since Indian government banned p0rn site

They have unblocked it man. They are trying to figure out a better method to ban child ****.

Also, this news appeared on my twitter stream. Xinhua ran the news story. I am indeed guilty of being rather active on my twitter account.

Indian ban Bollywood songs in highcourt?

High Court bars use of Hindi songs as mobile ringtones, welcome tunes -

Why is that Mr. Ramjet? India is a free country with great morals and character. Surely a great democracy like India must follow the path of democracy and stop banning Hindi songs from the courts don't you agree?

Or is freedom of speech not allowed in India?

Try reading your article man.

It is about Bangladeshi Courts banning Hindi Songs in Bangladesh.

Even the newspaper is Bangladeshi!

It seems you have no heard about the concept, "I may not like what you say, but I will defend unto my death your right to say it"

I don't "like" these songs etc. These are without question highly objectionable.

Yet, as I say, banning may not necessarily be the right thing to do.

Just reflect on that. Some people actually believe in the quotes that I have quoted. You may not, it is fine, but at least have the courage to believe that others may be different.
I guess to say rape is another form of love is totally acceptable in India. Defend what u say! Defend any saying!

.
What?? then why did they ban them in the first place?

They tried to ban websites that had child **** or any kind of child ****, but took it too far.

There's a difference between being acceptable and legal.

Of course it is not socially acceptable. But yes, a person must have the right to say it, and not face any legal consequences.

And right now this has largely been the case.

Taylor Swift 1989 tour make China nervous.

TS1989 = Tiananmen Square 1989.

I hope China make more and more of these absurd laws.

Meh, banning controversial songs online, all this does is reduce China's potential cultural creativity, not our problem, rather its to our benefit.

Gotta like some of these funny *** songs :D

hey thats an idea, if these songs have so much cursing, make censored versions of them (with bleeping!)

Instant hilarity!

Another one!

Are you serious? They probably are associating 1989 with Tienanmen Square, not realizing 1989 is when Taylor was born.

@gambit Sir, seriously, how can anyone be nervous over a beautiful girl who sings songs like this,

Do you remember Eamon? He was pretty popular in Japan back in 2001-2002, 2003.

Yes, Indian has the right to do a lot of illegal things to other people's eyes.

Let's just celebrate we cannot download these songs and you can go on cheering up rapists on the bus, shall we?

It is the merchandising of her music. The initials (TS) coupled with the numbers (1989) is censored because of Tiananmen Square.

I always thought it is funny that the Chinese members get so apoplectic to insist that no such bloodshed occurred on that day in that location. But if no such massacre occurred, then why the heavy handed approach to the subject, to the point that an innocuous combination of words and numbers make headline news ?

Look who is talking, didn't you like posting the tank man photo all the time insinuating he was crushed by the tank just as many thousands who were massacred according to your brainwashed view? We have already posted the English sources that the massacre was nothing more than propaganda tricks which you claim the US has mastered it.

India is very far from perfect
Most of it still lingers at the bottom of the social value chain
only the crazy delusionals blind their eyes until revealed

Oh god... I almost died just then... from laughing so much. Both from the song and by looking through the comments XD

An interesting point of conjecture, Sir. Relevant, indeed. Tho , i pray must say, the most diehard defenders of their leadership will dispel the student protesters as 'liberal' seditionists, do remember what some of the radical posters here referred to the Hong Konger protesters just several months ago? Some of them ( i will not name them ) even touted for the PLA to bring in tanks to put down the Hong Konger protesters.

Who even defends such thinking in modern days? Tho at the same time they will , hypocritically, lambast the crimes of the Imperial Army during the war in China for the same brutality, or even make a defense against some brutal policies that have been done towards some ethnic minority groups.

I just think its appalling. Given, I agree that what Japan did in China was wrong, and there is no defense for some of the inhuman crimes against humanities, especially what happened in Nanjing. For me, brutality is brutality, there is no exception, there should be no exception.

I don't think any Indian poster here claimed their Nation was perfect. In fact, India is far from being perfect, like all societies. However, India has the mechanism in place that tries to address issues. There is no defense on civil rights abuses, nothing can defend that, however, the Indians at least have a free media that openly exposes gaffes in their governmental processes , and there is the popular movement that can see to the resolution of these inefficiencies.

In the end, India is not an autocracy, but is a participatory, representative democracy. Therein lies the dichotomy between The Republic of India and other relevant state(S) in East Asia.
