China bans immoral songs online

Then give US ignorant Westerners the real truth, not the alternate one.

You seems not the know the real meaning of the word 'truth'.

Philosophically speaking, what is taken as a 'truth' may not be factual. For thousands of yrs, it was the 'truth' that the Earth is flat, but the fact is that the planet is round and people just were not scientifically sophisticated enough to grasp the real truth. Facts can help to create truth, but what is perceived as truth do not always have facts to support it.

Stop suppressing ANY discussion of TS 1989. If TS 1989 turned out to be nothing, then that truth will stand on its own.

But we should not expect any such transparency from China. Even today, the best you can do, and brainwashed your citizens, is that Mao's Great Leap Forward was a 'mistake'. The facts of the famine are so great that you could not suppress them, so you resort to minimizing its horrific human toll just to salvage face for Mao. Same for TS 1989. The facts for that atrocity are out for all to see. Even in 1989, there were means to get testimonies and pictures out. You have one Westerner who said he saw nothing versus plenty of Chinese who said they saw plenty of bloodshed.

Sorry but facts are facts, you will treat this alternate version as "facts" and there's nothing that can change that. Do you expect us to believe you will change this mindset if China decides one day to come out with an announcement that no massacre ever took place in '89 ? Explain why British newspapers have put up articles online that no massacre took place and it was all exaggerated? Wait wait don't tell me China must have bribed them. Americans are the last one who should lecture us about transparency.

Did I say facts could be anything else ?

Truths are not always facts, but facts do always support truths. Equally important is that facts needs the human agency to propagate and to array into something understandable. Reporters should not, and usually do not, present themselves as purveyors of truth, but rather as transporters of facts. So you bringing up the newspaper does not help. What you want is for us to believe a few newspapers that printed the same source over those same newspapers that printed multiple sources of the same event. That is not how humans work, no matter what the Party says.

Have American gone as much to deny institutionalized slavery as China have to deny TS 1989 ?

.
Is there any evidence that "TS 1989" actually caused a problem?

At the moment it is just speculation that the T-shirt with the print "TS 1989" MIGHT be hijacked by anti-China activist for political propaganda and to provoke.

That might force Chinese government to react and cause problem for Taylor Swift.

It is still speculation because none of that has happened yet.

But of course it would not stop western media from putting headline that put Chinese government on trial before the fact, before anything real has actually happened.

So much for the truth.

Wikileak has clearly shown that the Western government know what happen in Tiananmen square on the night of 4 June 1989, so did all those journalists in Beijing at that time that witness the event.

Did the knowledge of the truth stop western government and media from going ahead with the propaganda attack on China?

Did any of them ever for once stood up for the TRUTH and clarify wrongful account of the events?

Once again, so much for the truth.

If it wasn't for Wikileak revelation, the TRUTH as most people know it would be what western media painted them to be.

The Wikileak actually vindicated Chinese government repeated clarification. But if Wikileak did not happen. Before the leak, was China ever believed?

Seek TRUTH from FACTS.

IF truth were not revealed, American government would keep on denying torturing POW. So much for American transparency. So don't try to convince us here that US government is the representation of the naked truth, otherwise whistle blowers wouldn't be making headlines with the revelation of what was truly happening in the US.

Actually, you ended up proving my point.

The US government did not mount nowhere an effort to suppress waterboarding as China have for TS 1989. The US government did not assign an army of Internet censors or threatened reporters. The US government presented its side of the story, whistleblowers did theirs, and the public made up our minds.

So to put what happened in Tiananmen Square in 1989 to rest, all the Chinese government have to do is back off. When you have Beijing's mayor came out and said TS 1989 did not have to happened the way it did, it is hard for the international public to take seriously denials. All the Chinese government have to do is back off and let those who were there fight it out in the court of public opinions. What are YOU afraid of ?

What are you talking?

Don't say love me using the mouth which you use to lick someone's**

Let you fly to the bed of someone else' mother

You are just a prostitute.

The life of ball hurting

March 8th the day of virgin

Doggy man and women.

Enjoy it!

Don't need to take these things seriously, the songs spread in very small group, you know. At least, I never heard one of those songs.

LOL, the US doesn't censor, it suppresses facts. Once facts are leaked out by whistle blowers they US government will prosecute them for revealing the truth. Yep that's American transparency  , the US is so afraid of revealing its nasty side it tries so hard to hide them but alas the world knows exactly what a hypocrite US is.

All governments do not want facts made public if those facts make the government look bad or exposes wrong doings. But the difference between US and China is that we do not imprison or even kill reporters or lawyers who exposes wrong doings or defends whistleblowers.

But so far, you have done what we expects of the Chinese members on this forum when it comes to your government: Look over there...Look over there...Look over there...!!!

If you are so convinced that no massacre occurred in Tiananment Square back in 1989, YOU should be the first to call for the Chinese government to back off the subject, right ? Let the 'survivors' of the alleged 'massacre' be exposed as liars and agents of the West, right ? But of course, we all know too well that you and your fellow Chinese on this forum do not have that kind of moral courage. You would rather: Look over there...Look over there...Look over there...!!!

Yeah we rather look at facts and not some American fabrications :coffee:

So do we. But why are you so terrified of having both sides publicly debate ? The Chinese government on one side, and the 'survivors' of the alleged 'massacre' on the other side. Note that am being generous with you by quoting certain words to indicate doubts, in other words, am giving the Chinese government the benefits of the doubt.
