China angered after U.S. fighter jets land in Taiwan

Beijing needs to relax. An F-18 developed mechanical issues, which is a sign of declining US power since we cannot maintain our fighters, and both lead and wingman decided to go for a 'safe harbor'. Not a big deal. These are pilots, not diplomats, and they cannot speak for the US President. Am sure that if a Chinese pilot found mechanical problems on his jet fighter, he would laugh it off and continue home.

1, Sorry that I didn't know you was also on the EP3 and you are a air plan expert. Which you are NOT.
I have 10yrs active duty USAF. Will I do ?

2, YES, it's international airspace, but do you know the different between "international airspace" and ADIZ?
I do. An ADIZ is still international airspace.

3, Yeah, just like the PRISM and so on.

Is there any ADIZ in Hainan incident?

This is not as simple as some naive people have thought

Right at the heals of the americans gotten humiliated and even using "mechanical failure" as an excuse they didnt let our Taiwanese bros for a closer reach to the airplane.

I would have thought there are a hosts of other airbases where they can land during emergency in the vicinity but this time they have shown their weakness by landing in Taiwan

Futenma airbase would have been the best choice to avoid the apparent provocation

I am sure if Taiwan did not indicate their desire to join AIIB, this would not have happened

What are they trying to do flying so close to Taiwan?Trying to smell some excellent Taiwanese cuisine?

Both sides can spin it anyway they want.
We'll see if Taiwan demands that the plane be dismantled and shipped back on a Russia cargo plane.

My guess...not likely..I'm sure it is parked right next to an F16.

We can be very strict when it comes to fixing our jets right. We will send (TDY) a few F-18 mechs to Taiwan to fix that pesky oil pressure warning lights. It could be the indicator or transmitter or worse -- a wiring problem. But the Taiwanese are pretty friendly to US. When everything is done, they will get a few Taiwanese Hooters girls to marshal the F-18 pilots off.

It's just standard responses from Chinese Foreign Ministry, I can even hardly find this news on chinese web. The big news now are evacuation from Yemem, corruption and AIIB.
Only one problem is, the time is bad.

As if you truely have 10yrs active duty USAF, you should have more experience than me and BOQ77, I want to ask:
1, from the video with EP3 and 81192, in which the jet flys out a same speed with a Propeller aircraft, do you think the chinese pilot have a low skill. And why?
2, Is it normal, though it's a international airspace, china send plans to check a spy plan which is 70 nautical mile from china. What will american respons, when a chinese spy plan or a russian spy plan get into near 70 nautical mile from San Diego navy base?
3, Do you agree with BOQ77, when he said China should shoot down the B52 only beacase they are flying in the ADIZ. Or should china send a plan to check out what plans there are and send a meaasge, that this is chinese ADIZ. And then fly together for a moment maybe.

This is definitely a retaliatory move from the US after being humiliated by China and the AIIB. They are trying to show Asia and the World that they are not a declining power. Since US don't have much economic leverage, being that they are just greedy parasites, they are flexing the only significant muscles they have, and that is of course their military. I'm sure Taiwan are worried as anybody having those jets there and they are seemingly caught between a rock and a hard place, trying to appease two giants. I'm sure it's the Taiwanese side that came up with the mechanical issues excuse to placate China.

Oil pressure light diplomacy versus silk road diplomacy.

One is lying and coverted one is open and transparent.

One is based on military, one is based on trade.

One is declining, one is expanding.

I wonder what memories a B52 brings back to Vietnamese people.

We shot down 30+ of those ( accompanied by hundreds of Navy planes ) during 11 days operation in 1972.
No one ever harm any of those before and after us

.
Again ... big country stories? and "you may have no idea what it is"
I suggest you save that big country story home.

Or tell us "what it is"
---------------------------------
The peaceful surface can't hide what beneath when US show their ignorance by sending 2 B52 to newly declared ADIZ in East China Sea.
Is it popular to see such an act like that? Surprised ?

ADIZ does not mean other country can not fly in the airspace, we make incursion into Japan's ADIZ few hundred times a year. You should go look up what is a ADIZ first before you post.

I am sure b-52 brings a lot of memory back for Vietnamese, at
East they didn't enter our airspace to bomb us lol

wrong quote,
I refered to Hainan incident for context "international airspace"

why in Hainan incident, China use J8 to collide EP3
but in East China Sea, not any action to response to B52 access ... they doubt that China can't detect them or doesn't dare to challenge them

both in international airspace, one China never declared ADIZ ( you hit ), one just declared within 48 hours ( you ignored )

Mention that if I were you, if detect B52 without escort, not sure they're armed or unarmed, I must send my fighters to patrol and escort them out.

You are jumping up and down because of 2 F18.
No ball to challenge 2 B52, while we receive hundreds of B52, and shot down 34 of those during few days by our old fashioned Sam and Mig21
