@PAR 5 @Foxtrot

The engine is expensive, they use Turboprop like Rapier drone. Actually Predator drone which hasnt used Turboprop engine is still deathly and very capable. CH 4 is cheaper mainly due to engine selection.
Why don't we see use of drones in balochistan. Its so dumb to understand that in a country where we have seen the use of US drones, and the effectiveness of drones in syria and Azerbaijan and we still don't use them for surveillance and combat purposes in Balochistan and KPK. Even the afghan talibans are now using drones for surveillance and combat purposes, how long befor TTP HUA and even balochi terrorists start using it for spying and dropping bombs on FC.

Well, maybe because drone campaign during Obama administration prove to create high civilian casualties. Drone is bad to be used against insurgency that hide among civiliant population,

CH5 costs a lot more. Better to buy the cheaper CH4 first, get comfortable in flying and than if needed go for upgraded models.
But ours are CH 4 B ?

WL2 will most likely by operated by PAF. CH4 are suited for operating in Tactical ops.
So you are saying WING LONG II deal is real ?

Air Ships can hold an answer for our needs in continuous surveillance of Balochistan, it can stay in the air for much longer than a drone can and plus its got the ability to monitor any location by loitering the area for days if needed, it can be a mobile command center as well directing activity on the ground and it can carry troops who if needed can parachute into action.

need to think long term security beyond some drones. Even drones have their limitations. the surveillance and needed rapid action is where we are faltering as the cockroaches have easy movements in a large area to set up ambushes and plant IED's

I proposed this years ago. But as usual, no one listens.

They will be operated by Army. So they would be based on Aviation bases of Army. One of those base is in Khanewal cant.

Pakistan if really has decided to go on CH path then Pakistan should seriously consider CH 5.

I thought multan Cantt was housed a core command with cobras, khanewal is 35kms from multan cantt, is there a new army aviation base there?

Not all terrorists are hiding in cities most also hide in mountainous terrain, caves but idk if army have ever used UCAVs againts them or even just for surveillance. USA also have had much success with drones many high profile targets are even today eliminated through drone strikes.

Kindly forgive our Hazrat Zarvan he lacks patience.

I'm sure these are purchased to keep an eye in BLA terrorists movements on western border. It's cheaper to use this system vs other high-end platforms. Opportunity to launch missiles won't be on every sortie. It's better to loiter with a cheaper platform and have a couple of missiles available if needed.

I am amazed some people been here for ages and have learnt nothing. Suddenly they become naive of our economic situation and saying why we didn't buy the latest. These are the people that suggests drinking juice if there is a drought.
I hope the UAVs come with satcomms so we can utilize longer range. Although relays can also be used to get long ranges with live feedback.

Soon the savages killing innocents in Baluchistan will have a reason to fear the skies.

Hopefully we will see the end of attacks on convoys, FC posts, road etc. They have to come out in the open which are far away from mountain hideouts, and they also use the road network. They should be easy pickings for the drones.
What has happened to the armed falco drones ? Any ideas?
Does anyone know the unit price?

Turkish drones employed in the recent war cost approx 1 million dollars. So of you lose one no problem. This was the Turkish philosophy.

UAV drones are more fatal due to their potent "FEAR factor".
Terrorist are scared to come in open places with they fear that UAV can come ,silently without any noise and large size image.
