. . . . . . . .
. .
I have been looking for @HAKIKAT but got no response. I am learning Turkish nowadays. Can somebody here guide me when i need help please? It has been a folly on my part not to interact with more Turkish members however i do look for your guidance.

I think the title of this thread spoken correctly is: (Ch)ay Bah(Ch)esi ?

as i understand:
Ç is Ch.
ş is Sh
C is J
ğ is silent, not spoken just written
ü is ehh
ö is oooh

Correct me if wrong, thanks.

also, in speaking Erdoğan....if ğ is silent, then is the name spoken Erdoan or Erdowan?

. . . .
why you want to be depend on a single person? just write here everyone knows Turkish :) we will correct your faults no worry.
Ok Thank you.

I had a tough time in Istanbul and Konya because except hotel staff no one talked in English. Taxi drivers, shop keepers, local folk on street, even restaurant staff did not speak english. It was hard to negotiate prices, ask for directions and order food.

In saying that, its very patriotic that Turkish people speak in Turkish language and english is rarely spoken
