What eid is this?
Oh that one.Sacrifice Eid.
Oh that one.
It's still a celebration of an attempted human sacrifice in the name of a God. There are other ways to show faith commitment and love to God, this is a Pagan way even with an animal or none at all.At the past it was awful when i was a child,It was awful, people cut their animals in their gardens.... now it has all changed.
No eid animals in the city.

From what I know this isn't just a Muslim thing, Jews and Christians have that story too. If they get irritated that's fine, I'm not keeping this opinion of mine secret.Ehmmmm..... well.... You know, muslims don't take it well when a non-muslim critisize their religion, right ?
Now, i don't care who says what about my religion, but some of my buddies will be irritated with your remarks, just giving you a heads-up
Killing out of necessity (hunger), is different than killing in the name of a God or Gods, prophets or idols. It was stupid of you to compare a sacrifice to a necessity, I'm no vegetarian and I prefer chicken or fish.go eat hamburgers and ask yourself, what did killed the cow?
stupids, when it comes muslims then its a bad thing...

The meat of the animal is distributed among the poors.
İt's not like we throw the animal away after it's gotten slaughtered
I already knew the meat is shared, it still is a sacrifice even symbolically by celebrating a sacrifice. Being Abrahamic doesn't make you less pagan, it just means you believe in a monotheistic supreme creator that has a different name than in other religions and you worship It directly instead of indirectly. Its more of a ritual sacrifice commemorating the sacrifice of Abraham during his ordeals so its more Abrahamic & less pagan per se. Plus it serves as a social function; the meat gets divided into 3 parts - one for the family, one for the friends & relatives & one for the needy members of the society.
Mostly its a festive occasion more than anything else; in our family for example every relative you can think of comes together at someone's place (they decided that before hand) for a feast.
