People, for God's sake, calm down. The soldier's shift probably ended, or he had a colleague cover his post while he prayed for five minutes. There are clearly enough soldiers there, and he hasn't left his post so if there was an emergency he can still respond quickly enough.
@Atanz if you were his CO and did that to a soldier for praying, you'd probably be strictly penalized. But that's why you aren't a CO.
Indians and other foreigners, don't your soldiers in ever leave their posts to rest, drink water or use the toilet? Soldiers on duty like that tend to be given a few minutes' break once in a while. What they do during that break is their business.
@levina @Providence
So what's wrong if, after making sure his post is covered by atleast two other soldiers, this one soldier decides to pray without even leaving his post? And no, the area is not a war zone. From the looks of it, it's a city, (looks pretty similar to an area in Lahore that I'm familiar with, though I'm not sure - it's been a while), not a tribal area in Waziristan.
You know pseudo-liberal fascism is becoming a problem when people want to kill a soldier for following the second pillar of Islam in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
