And looks like Indonesia has bought the 12 Qatari Mirage 2000-5s and will retire the Hawks. These should compliment the incoming Rafales very well while the FK-21 will perhaps be the long term replacement for both the F-16s and Mirages. @Indos

Not sure if it was reported on the forum anywhere but good for TNI-AU

Nope, we are not going to retire our Hawk. Our Hawk squadrons are being refurbished and upgraded. The information has been put on my thread specially made about our acquisition program.

Our Hawk refurbished and upgrade contract goes to our avionics company, Info Global. This company is actually emerged due to our old fighter squadrons like F5, Hawk that are not supported by the OEM anymore. So buying Mirage is also good for our avionics industry growth plus will be served as interim fighters with 15 -20 years left life operation before being replaced with KF21.

Even our Sukhoi also get refurbished and upgraded. Too many defense writer that currently make news and write things on the media based on rumors. Better you see my thread if it is about Indonesia defense acquisition program, it is backed by credible news and source.
