His question is.. Can Pakistan survive the economic situation the war creates??
Its an important question because if a war occurs, it will be most probably limited in border areas only.. As there is no probability of LOC change after the war(like 1965 and 1971) .. The major end result will be economic impact on both economies.. As Pak economy is only 1/8 th of Indias, that war will affect Pak economy than Indian economy..

Armed civilians cannot survive more than 48 hours in the open battlefields of the plains of Punjab and sands of Sindh. Secondly---where would the weapons and supply lines come from.

1: This isn't WW-1, no one will send civilian combatants, to 'fight on'.

2: Civilian combatants will be used as a fringe tactic, in order to wage a conventional as well as an insurgency at the same time. This will be a game changer in areas like Sialkot and Kashmir flank.

Arming militias with Anti Tank weapons, dividee in small teams to mount coordinated attacks with an aim to kill as many Indian soldiers as they can, along with a potent conventional war, will prove pivotal.

3: They can provide critical help in logistics, civil defense, first aid, and to secure Lines of Communications.

4: This tactic of 'people's war' has been used in Vietnam against the Americans, with deadly effect.

5: I never expect India to commit its full military strength to Pakistan while exposing itself to China.

I read somewhere that India ranks 2nd - (the first being US) in gun ownership among civilians - 46 million or so licensed, but with a per capita of 3 guns for 100 people, while US has about 90 for every 100 people.

what do you mean sending civilians to war?! I read they had to increase manpower and thus recruited increased...
I am right now writing this part of my thesis ... reading they sent civilians I can add info, do you know some source i can cite?

also... ! I had read Pakistan started the war in 1965 after China defeated India... but honestly i have not read that much because i am not yet in that part of my thesis ... could you tell me more?

In UP, High court has banned the administration from issuing any more arms license. There are already 16 lakh civilian arm license against 2.5 lakh police ones

However, Indian non prohibited bores are too less threatening. They dont kill beyond 20 mtrs.
