I feel quite disgusted when Bangladesh is hyphenated with India and Pakistan. Sure India and Pakistan has a lot in common but we Bangladeshis are largely different from these two, be it race, genetics, culture and values. For most part of our history, we have been a separate entity from the rest of the subcontinent.

When it comes to identity, you can not understand Bangladesh from the same prism as India and Pakistan. We have a totally different form and process of nation-building.

If your country is really based on the ideology of Islamic welfare state then your loyalty should be to the custodian of the two Holy Mosques, not the Pakistani state. And the existence of your national anthem and flag is pointless.

There is a vested interest of the political and military elite of India and Pakistan in the Kashmir dispute and any other bilateral disputes between the two countries. Take it this way, 90% of Indians and Pakistanis wouldn't be affected in any way if Kashmir goes to India or Pakistan or becomes independent. Yet, the common citizens like you have been fed the propaganda that how this Kashmir dispute is so intricately connected with the national interests of the two countries and made the taxpayers to pay for the military adventures in the Kashmir conflict.

If these bilateral disputes are resolved, there would be no justification for the existence of Pakistan and India. Hence, these disputes will never be resolved.

So why Western bengal is not part of your ethnic nation? its just a by product of Pakistan movement.

West Bengal has been through a completely different course of history since 1947. I don't think they really have the courage to pay the price for independence. They have been gradually embracing the North Indian culture and lifestyle. Or should I say, India has been more successful to extend its propaganda in West Bengal than Pakistan had been in East Pakistan.

How he is better then any Sharif, zardari and Abdul in Pakistan, we want to implement our ideology in our geographical existence not in Arab fiefdoms or other 3rd world dictatorships. Not actually, all the inhabitants in south Asia has some mongoloid gene, even among the Punjabi and Pashtun. Punjabi has average 4% mongoloid gene and Bangladeshi has average 12%. But 4% or 12% are too minuscule to impact a people's phenotype in any significant way. Even among the mix of pure white and pure black, unless mix ratio is 67:33, hints of opposite element will not be visible. 3/4th white or 3/4th black look same as pure white or black.See these mix.

In Bangladesh, no more than 5% ethnic Bengali shows some hints of Mongoloid gene. There are pure mongoloid tribes in Bangladesh. But they are ethnic minority like Chakma, Marma, Khasia etc.. Combindly they make up 1% percent of population in Bangladesh.
