British India - Myth

I can post pics from the book that says it is banned in Pakistan.

Meray piaray bhai

time to quit living in stone age.

Today on the internet everything and anything is available.

And that includes stuff like Jinnah ate pork and drank wisky, traveled in Rolls royce, wore 3 piece suits, and smoked cigars.

All these things are problems for Hinduists and Islamists.

Not the rest of us.

As many might know that the independence of India and Pakistan was announced on the midnight of 14th August 1947, with the Act 1947 stating "As from the fifteenth day of August, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, two independent Dominions shall be set up in India, to be known respectively as India and Pakistan"

As a matter of fact, Pakistan celebrated its first independence on 15th of August. Even the first commemorative postage stamp of the country that was released a year later stated 15 August 1947 as the independence day of Pakistan.

But then why Pakistan celebrates their independence on 14th of August?

Here is an interesting co-incidence. The midnight of independence (midnight, August 14,1947) coincided with 27 Ramadan 1366 of the Islamic calendar, which is regarded as a sacred night by Muslims.
So, in the year 1948, Pakistan decided to advance their date of independence by one day to August 14.

more important is who is carrying the legacy.. Is Pakistan carrying the legacy? No....What is your history? What is Pakistan culture...Give me simple answer..do you guys consider yourselves decedent of those who have writing rig Vedas? do you consider yourselves decedent of those who were part of Indus valley...What monument, what books, what stories of that time do you read or know? I ask a simple question,...What is the identity of Pakistani?
well excavation of all important sites is going in Pakistan which means we are carrying legacy of our ancestors Pakistan is just new name for our thousand's year old homeland and about rig ved what original says"creator in one"thus we are following Monotheism, but those who compiled Vedas, there children were enough smart to opt a new Idea known as Islam which was and is more broad then the which we abandoned. And about our identity we are "Muslims of Indus Valley civilization"known today as Pakistans.

Hindu priests did consider Aug 14th,

then decided for August 15th as ti was more auspicious as per Hindu Asstrology.

hahaha

Ganga din claiming to own Pakistan.

hahahahah

Oh bhai Ganga valley is the craddle of modern day Bharat

While Sindh Valley is the craddle of modern day Pakistan.

If you don't know this, you must have leanred your history from 5th grade gov school history book

just like so many Islamists who come post here based on their 5th grade gov school Pakistani history book

hahahaha

ha!

didn't realize you will not even know the birth time of your own country.

Sad to o see ignorance among so called educated Bharatis.

There is no such thing as Ganga Valley civilization. The civilization that developed along the beds of Ganga was just an extension of Indus valley civilization.

And India was not born on 1947. In 1947 the power was transferred from British to the local population.

.
Lets look at where the word India comes from:
India's name
Sindhu (sangskrit, river still exist) -> Sindh (region still exist) -> Hind (persian) -> Indikos (greek) -> Indicus (latin) -> India (English)

So "India" is an English word with a diverse origin and it is what the British used to identify this region. Question is why an independent country would follow their colonial master and their choice of word to choose the name of their country? I would not do it, I would simply drop India, an English word and choose Bharat instead, a completely indigenous word, to create a clean break with the British colonial past or even the period of Muslim rule (Hindustan), to give people a sense of pride.

There is still time for you to do it, better late than never. It is time Bharatiya's should drop the mental slavery of the white man, and it can start with the dropping of the name India for your country.
Now, that is a completely different argument isn't? You said ( in the second para, red lined one) by taking up the name 'India', Indians unscrupulously claim the inheritance all over the 'British India', did not you? Whether India denotes colonial slavery still or not was not your argument but the moral sense behind it that you emphasized. And that was exactly OP's point too.

Earliest orators of Rg never believed in monotheism.

Ganga valley did have a primitive civilization.

Meray bhai!

No old city /settlement has been uncovered along Ganga that includes artifacts matching Sindh River Civilization.

No wonder Bahratis have to run 1000 miles to claim civilization.

hahaha.

Perhaps that's why they were not allowed to preach in Sindh valley.

Sir,

It is no use convincing us. Pakistan government should invest in convincing the world that Indus valley civilization is Pakistan civilization.

Rishi Dayanand Saraswati disagrees.
Nothing much to disagree here, if you see it yourself. Earliest mandalas pay enormous admiration to different Gods with physical attribution; Parjanya, Varuna, Mitra, Savitri etc. Only in the later mandalas the idea of monoism with metaphysical importance slowly evolved.

Rishi Dayanand Saraswati states that they are praying to different aspects of the same Brahman not separate Gods. I have read his interpretation of vedas. Quite monotheistic point of view.
