Featured Breaking : Pakistan to ban TLP officially

Another idiotic move.
This govt never ceases to amaze me from its shambolic political understanding. At a time when covid is in full swing JKT is showing his muscles inflation and poverty is at its peak you open another major front. Not only TLP has support but its support is in major cities.
Do you want another Mumtaz Qadri?

How much trust do you have with the justice system, knowing and following the Sharif debacle by LHC I have a fair feeling that this will be overturned.
It's going to the Supreme Court. I have a little more faith in the SC (excluding Faiz Issa) than in the lower courts.

.
It's a good move, has got all the ingredients to turn TLP into a TTP on steroids.

And the image they portray of Pakistan was least favorable.

Well, have to measure pros and cons. How hard is to kick France ambassador, what will be the backlash? It can be easily justified on international stage, France is violating minority rights by forcing a burqa ban, on top of disrespecting Prophet(P.B.U.H). Banning TLP is not a wise decision, they have a huge backing, the numbers are in millions(and they are not biryani motivated, they follow an ideology). And it's not like their leadership have corruption charges or any other sort of violation of law(except what is happening right now, which is an "effect" not a cause).

This will definitely not end well for this government. Hope sanity prevails, we don't want another TTP in the making, and they have more penetration in whole Pakistan unlike TTP.
If the French ambassador is kicked out the whole EU will probably cut ties with Pakistan, and rightfully so.
More than a 1/3 of your meager exports will disappear and your fragile international standing will further diminish.
No more loans to keep you afloat either.

75% not true. this value is changing rapidly. i am expecting mbs to officially annex pakistan and make tariq jamel primne minister. these terrorists are now everywhere. even india is not safe. what do you expect when your country is run by people who store weapons in mosque?
They give cash and people are joining this sect. people rapidly selling religion for money. are bhai you can also join. go and kiss tariq jamil hands. you will go to heaven directly hahaha. shaitani mullah hahaha.
Not happening. You will see

Now this is more likely to happen, and since I believe establishment like to play complicated games. Maybe, they want to create a beast of an opposition that could really give any government a tough time. Only, time will tell, but I still believe this will effect PTI in very bad way.
A violent group like the TLP is not an 'opposition', it is a massive liability.

As I have said repeatedly, I don't see any signs of the Establishment being behind TLP's creation or rise. It's more a result of the increasing focus on the Blasphemy issue and intolerance and violence around the blasphemy issue, exacerbated by the reach of social media.

I hope so, the establishment needs to make a stand against such elements, they need to set a precedent, once set others will think twice before crossing the line.

Every time the State has engaged with the TLP peacefully, the TLP has returned with more and more ridiculous demands and more and more violence on the streets.

The responsibility lies with the TLP to commit to ending violent protests and blocking roads etc.

The right to protest simply means just that - you can protest and present your demands.

There is no 'right to have your demands implemented' via protest.

So if the State does not accept your demands after a peaceful protest, the TLP should STFU and wait for the next elections and see if it can win enough seats to form a government and THEN try to implement its own demands.

I'm sure the guy who got his life savings burnt here shares your views on the matter.

People who burnt this guy's livelihood have no legitimacy to be called Muslims.

Move comes in after PM Imran Khan meeting with Bajwa and ISI chief yesterday

So puppet first had to get permission from masters. And then we blame Nawaz Sharif for demanding supremacy of PM and parliament.

Consultation with the Army and intelligence chiefs to get their feedback is perfectly acceptable.

Both these organizations have been at the forefront of kinetic and intelligence operations against domestic terrorist and militant groups, so getting their feedback is the correct thing to do.

Ahh, BJP made it work in India, probably establishment is thinking along the same lines, have to balance madness with madness. Let's, see how things work out.

The money was for transportation costs for TLP workers after the Faizabad protest, and it points to how the State tried to use talks and peacefully resolve the issue with the TLP multiple times.

The TLP, however, has returned each time and perpetrated more and more violence through its protests, abusing the State's restraint and approach and taking it as a weakness.
even if it was for medicine if state considered them mischief why give them money!

sir g we are ruled by cowards and greedy turds and that reflects in this decision making!

The BJP has not been a single issue party.

Modi and the BJP's rise is also tied to the 'perception' that Mod was an excellent administrator in Gujrat and brought about a lot of economic growth through cutting red tape etc. and would replicate that at the national level.

For Modi and the BJP, it was a combination of 'religious nationalism + anti-Pakistan rhetoric + economic growth' that was the magic formula.

The only thing the TLP has in common with the BJP is the religious extremism, and any organization or party that focuses solely on that is a liability and has no long term future.
