Featured Breaking : Pakistan to ban TLP officially

I think saudia should officially take charge of pakistan now. they are feeding us, making deals, spreading their sect. for presidency, my vote for abdul aziz terrorist. now let's make it official.
It is fair to call Saudis extremists but at least there aren't infidels like TLP. Saudis don't commit shirk by associating partners with Allah or worship dead people. I lived with Saudi Wahabis for 15 years and I can assure you that they are saints compared to this gang of blasphemous terrorists called TLP.

. .
These scums of earth are actual gustakh rasool. I wish not just banned they should be trialed under 295 C.

.
they abducted tortured police
they killed policemen
they destroyed public and private property
they blocked roads and caused disruption
they declared policemen as heretics and made them beg for their lives
threatening the state and blocking routes to hospital.

but TLP is not the only culprit. the Government and the miitary establishment in my view is either complicit or incompetent in handing from the time the TLP thug lord was arrested and police was not told to be alert and it took the brunt of the violence. I have seen pictures and vidoes of policemen brutally tortured their ears cut off, their eyes gouged, their bones broken, clothes torn apart to name the few. I have seen military personnel joining the slogans of the rebellious thugs as well.

this TLP is a monster of the establishment which was given cash handouts during Nawaz time and now it has grown out of control
Oh yes i completely side with you, political parties have done much much more we all have seen gang wars. But these are no different. One might wonder what were these people who call themselves Ashiq e Rasool doing with guns, firing over police and rangers. One of the bullet struck the door of my cousin's house. So these people are no different, and the biggest part is these poeple do actually think that they are right. It was created by establishment and the establishment is now trying to tame this monster they created. IMO the govt was not involved in arresting saad rizvi and also not in banning the party. I think all this is the doing of security establishment.

Opinion is not a substitute for facts or evidence.

The government has taken responsibility for banning the TLP - Imran Khan stated clearly that people would not be allowed to take the law into their hands during the first TLP protest after his government came to power, so this is not new or out of the blue.

The TLP should have stayed within the limits of the law and kept its protests peaceful. The problem is that successive governments have caved into violent protesters (like the lawyers) instead of holding them accountable. This is a good start, provided that cases against those who can be identified as committing violence and destroying property are followed up on and perpetrators punished.

Next stop, make sure the lawyers are held accountable as well and enact reforms in the legal system - the bar associations and lower judiciary are a completely incompetent and politicized disaster..

@313ghazi All societies have rabble. And the easiest way to mobilize rabble is go for base instincts and feed on prejudice or hate. Take UK. This country also has lot of rabble. Every city, every town will have a council estate full of English underclass. Anybody who lives in UK will know what I am on about.

You know how easy it is easy get this rabble all excited and go around tearing everything down? All that is needed is a charismatic person to use demagoguery and you would have 10,000s running riot in the country.

Now this rabble can't be fired up by using Islam. But they have their drug also. How about whipping up anti Muslim, anti Pakistani sentiments amongst this crowd. It would work wonders. The EDL led by Tommy Robinson are good example.

But the thing is in UK the ruling elite whether they are Tory, Labour or Liberal will never feed into this fire. The British state would never accept this rabble going on the streets. In fact even the media works against these groups.

And finally can you imagine EDL asking the British government to throw out the Pakistani ambassador or they will burn London down? Not fcukin in million years ......

I fear this will turn them into ttp. Coas met PM yesterday it must have been extremely serious that they banned the entire party.

Establishment seems confused too.

Very much so. But history teaches appeasment never works. The Pakistani state has been bending from late 1940s. Reading the Justice Munir Report on the Ahmedi Riots in 1953 could well apply to 2021. Same mob rule led by mullahs making outragious demands on the state by street power leading to deaths.

But the state has to use iron fist or it will always face this problem. We must ask ourselves this serious question. There are 40 Muslim majority countries with 1.8 billion Muslims.

Turkey's Erdogan literally had shouting match with Erdogan followed by Imran Khan. But ask this question. Are there Turkish mobs in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir burning the cities down and demanding Erdogan to throw the French ambassador out? Or asking for a jihaf against France.

I mean are Pakistani's the only true Muslims in the world?

Look, the State tried being nice. After Faizabad the TLP protesters were even given taxpayer money to travel back etc. Vague agreements were reached. But each time the State has been nice with the TLP, the TLP has returned with more and more violent protests and more and more unreasonable demands.

Honestly, if the State had done nothing, the TLP would have likely seen that as a sign of weakness and the next protests may have been even worse. The only alternate (outside of action against the TLP) was to capitulate to TLP demands, but those demands are ridiculous and would damage Pakistan and set an example that any group able to bring thousands of violent protesters on the streets can get its demands met.

Once again - peaceful protest is a right, but getting your demands fulfilled via protest is not guaranteed and people need to recognize and accept that.

TLP being a political party that has contested elections had a responsibility to the country and its own voters to not take this route. Had it kept the protests peaceful and accepted Parliaments decision (which will likely be to not expel the French Ambassador), then it could have built up more support and continued contesting the elections and win enough seats to influence policy making in the future. Instead it left the State no choice and self-destructed.

Now, it is possible that back-channel contacts are ongoing with the TLP leadership, and the Interior Minister's declaration to ban the TLP is a negotiating tactic to get commitments from the TLP leadership to no longer engage in these kinds of violent protests and blackmail, but I'm not confident it will be successful.

good. ban em & then exterminate their leadership. send their followers & supporters to China for reeducation.

Pakistan is not dealing with TLP in the way it understands. This banning will not solve the problem. First Govt needs consistency in its actions, one day it bans an organization, next day it reverses its decision. The message to the public. is, if you hamper the public life you are free to do all that. Our law enforcing agencies were distributing money to them a few years back, now these goons are killing them.
Once govt takes action it should not change. Otherwise, we have to bear such a nuisance daily. do not give relief to such organizations to hold hostage the poor public.

. .
So now govt must need to ban these red & black flagers iranian back extremist groups operating in Sindh & in Karachi under the supervision of ppp...
Are you talking about TLP or Lashkar-e-jhangvi?

TLP is not a sectarian organization in the mold of LeJ or ASWJ or SeM etc - not sure what the connection here is that you’re making.

The State has been cracking down on both Sunni & Shia sectarian militant/terrorist groups for a while now.
